That's a shame!
Well, sort of. A lot of the states in this neck of the woods get pretty cold in the winter. I think we still have the coldest place in the contiguous US (the mainland 48) in Northern MN in Tower, MN, at about -60 F or so as their record. But on the western side of the state, our record high was 114 F in Moorhead, MN. Both places are considered a part of Northern Minnesota. I live in the southern third of the state.
Also, Idaho and Montana mountain cities seem to be consistently colder year round.
