Ok I researched it go to the section called Current Generation Pokemon Gaming in it will be a section called Wi-Fi Center. In the Wi-Fi section is a section called Battle Stadium. This is for Wi-Fi battling.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help; I've never done anything with WiFi but you said you wanted to battle somebody so you may want to go to the Challenges section which is in the General Gameing Section.
