Whoo! Singing lessons are the bomb (or so I've heard). I've never actually taken one-on-one lessons before. I started formal singing in my sophomore year of high school, but had developed the concept of pitch and strengthened my falsetto whilst practicing piano and singing in grade-school plays n such.

The fact that your health is interrupting your progress is unfortunate to hear. I hope that works out better for you. <3

I sang way more in high school than I do now, even got some scholarships in the process; I'm definitely rusty now, though. And yeah! My looks don't really do my range justice. lol

Jazz is probably the most difficult genre to sing, next to opera. If you're looking to start singing, I'd highly recommend taking voice lessons before anything else. It'll save you a lot of time, instead of unlearning bad vocal habits down the road like I had to. Once you have strong fundamentals, you can go boldly into and genre you choose. :]

I like to sing any music that's in my range, really (as long as it isn't country), but I have the most experience singing in choruses, chamber choirs, and vocal jazz groups.

I'm a bass who envies all baritones and tenors. o;

I do indeed! I like pretty much anything really, I'm thinking about doing a recording over the weekend and posting it up on PC 'cause a few people now have asked me about my singing. :D
