Don't sell all the cards together unless you're in a big hurry to get rid of them. You'll only attract resellers and will receive far less than what the collection is worth (probably only hundreds, instead of the thousands the collection looks to be worth).
I would sell most, if not all of the...
Just as an example, some of their Base set shadowless cards are significantly cheaper than what they would typically sell for on Ebay. Even with international shipping costs (I live in the UK) it's cheaper for me to buy the cards from them than buying the same cards on Ebay from a UK seller. The...
If you're not looking for one holo card in particular, your best bet might be to check the Ebay auctions for a bundle of them that you like. This can work out a lot cheaper than buying cards individually, especially if you avoid having to pay postage for each individual card. Only buy bundles...
I wouldn't use trollandtoad as a guide for pricing Pokemon cards personally. Some of their cards are significantly cheaper than what they would typically sell for on Ebay, while others are significantly more expensive. I've also heard that the condition of their cards can be a bit random, with...
The 1999-2000 date on a Base Set card means that it's from the 8th print run of that set. Such cards are quite rare, though unfortunately not as desirable as 1st editions.
I wouldn't worry about the lighter colouring. It's not something that's unique to that print run, but rather something...
Those cards look like they're from 8th print of the base set in the UK . They're a lot harder to find than the normal unlimited base set cards with the 1999 copyright date on. I'm pretty sure they're even rarer than shadowless base set cards, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're more...
Complete base sets typically go for anywhere between £60 and £100 depending on condition. Maybe £20 more if they're in a nice folder.
The Jungle and Fossil sets go for between £40 and £70 each (again, depending on condition and folder) from what i've seen.
If you have some 1st edition cards...
It's less desirable than a normal holo, but it should still sell.
Do you mean 1995, 96, 98, 99 with a little 1st edition logo to the left of the Pokemon artwork? Those cards can be very valuable and sought after. If you have any holos like that in great condition, you should really consider...
Do you mean that it's a reverse holo like this?
Ungraded, those go for about £80-£100 in NM condition from what i've seen. Quite a bit less than a standard holo version, but still a decent amount.
Having cards graded is expensive, that's the only downside. You have to pay something like £75 to be a member of PSA before you can even send stuff off. If you have some other cards that are worth grading though, then it's a good investment.
