I know what you mean, the only girls teams I've heard of around my area are just the school teams. I don't even think there's anything that girls could join when they leave school (Well not around here, but there are in other places)

Yeah I've heard of the power league, me and a few mates were going to sign up and just get the bus there from Thornhill. One of my mates broke his leg though and everyone thought it was a shame to leave him behind so we didn't go. Might go next year though!

Ouch, you're right though about not feeling it at the time as I went through something similar. Some guy came in for a slide tackle and I flicked the ball up over him and jumped, but while he was under me he put his hand up and grabbed my leg and I fell awkwardly. It was a good job he got sent off before I got back up or it would have been me that got sent off :P
Anyway, I didn't think much of it at the time and kept playing but later that night when I got home I noticed the top of my arm was all bruised and when I got up the next day I couldn't move my left arm at all. Was quite scary to start with but it was a good job I'm right handed, so I still went into work that day haha.
