oh yeah, if you're lucky, you get 1 game lasting most of an episode. Longer, sometimes. I'm not sure if a pokemon battle is an adequate comparison, though. At least in those, you get to see crazy monsters leaping around and breathing fire. Which I suppose you do get in Yu-gi-oh as well, to some extent.
