Yes having more steps increases the odds of rarer, higher-exclamation point bushes to appear. I know that having an advantageous type cuts the amount of required steps for the rarer Groups by 25%, but does it also help you advance to the "!!" and "!!!" bushes? And if so, by how much does it...

For capturing perfect Wondercard pokemon, I know NPC's advance the frame by 1 if they turn or 2 if they walk...but are there any other factors that advance the frame? Does time advance the frame?
