  • Oh good, you like Eluveitie. I saw them live with Finntroll a while back. Two of my favourite bands on the same stage in one night, yeaaaah~
Well, you do live up to your name, this is a pretty surreal conversation :P

It's just hit 6am I'm already awake, showered and ready to leave..ugh..stupid fake mornings with all it's darkness and stuff.

So do you have any plans for this weekend? :)
I agree, but if we're making a point of being pointless, are we really being pointless?

    I are confused.

This is the weird thoughts I have at 1am on a Friday night when I'm too tired, a bit drunk and have to wake up in 4 hours for work.

Tomorrow is going to be rough.
I love that one! When I went to DC about a year back to visit my ex, I actually saw one of the Human Condition paintings up close and personal (Magritte painted a series of them), along with one other painting and two statues. Since she broke my heart, that's actually the only thing I care to remember about the trip. haha. I also saw a Yves Tanguy there, who is quite reminiscent of Dali in the colors he used. Question: do you think Dali is overrated? I did, until I saw two of his paintings in person... the man was a technical genius. I couldn't even see a damn brushstroke!

EDIT: Thought I'd mention my favorite surrealist painting: Time Transfixed, by Magritte. Even seen it? It's creepy in its simplicity, but that's why I love it.
By no means! Good for you to identifying Kahlo with the surrealists... not too many do. But then again, it's open to debate, I guess... I consider Georgia O'Keeffe's work to be incredibly surreal. As for Breton, I think he was one of the most versatile surrealists of his time. However! My personal favorite was always Rene Magritte. Surely you've seen his stuff?
