I know a few others that greet members. The most common being Derk (Twilight Sky). He IMs me to let me know that he'll take over NU/W by welcoming almost every single new member on the first page. Anna (TheSmartOne) is also a common greeter as well. <3 So, I think that's what you're thinking of.
