Looks like it's been dropped. I think that's silly because aPNG is a beautiful thing that can take advantage of higher res better than gifs can.

You can selectively block elements of a page by site with No-Script, so I tend to use that to block ads on sites that are an unknown quantity to me, since a few of the major, for-profit sites I frequent have been victims of virus infection via ads for people in other countries.

I don't think it did. And after just now checking in my Opera browser, it looks like it hasn't.
