  • I like Delcatty too! :P
Hmm... I watched Jirachi Wishmaker last night, and its made me like Flygon even more! I just love the colours, and the fact that he is a Dragon. You don't happen to have a Flygon/Trapinch on Platinum do you? I'd love to trade
...¿A lot? I have been in the egg moves business for awhile, actually. I don't think I could name every Pokémon I've ever bred. I used to be really lazy about it though, so I only bred Pokémon I needed. I didn't really do any battling in Diamond, it was all about the Pokédex. :/ But I think I was really into it in Emerald.
Well, it really depends on what Pokémon you're using. Certain Pokémon can learn certain moves from their father, and the father only (that is, considering a Ditto's mate as the father). Though I'm sure you already knew that. If you're working on Eevee, you'll of course need a female Eevee. Eevee can learn Curse (a very useful move for Umbreon and Flareon) by egg move, but the only way you can achieve this by having a male Torkoal with Curse and a female Eevee, both of which are actually quite a task. Eevee can also learn Charm, Covet, Fake Tears, Flail, Tickle, Wish, and Yawn. If you want to know a Pokémon's possible egg moves and what Pokémon it can learn them from, go on Bulbapedia or Serebii. Hope this helps. :)
Rainy... >.> Lol, well, we've just had a heat wave, so it has been quite hot. We get not much Pokemon stuff at all.
    Yeahh... Its boring here.
    You?

I guess. Recently I had to get a female Charmander so I could teach it Belly Drum by breeding. But it wasn't as hard as when I needed a female Torchic. I had to get like 13 eggs. T_T

Anyway, I do breed for egg moves, but not for IVs. I just make a bunch of eggs with the proper egg moves, hatch all them, then see which ones meet the criteria, like desired IVs and natures.
The starters, the fossils, Snorlax, Eevee, Lucario, and Togepi have that ratio so they're hard to breed to get more (unless you have a Ditto, of course). You know, all of them are hard to get but can easily be obtained once. Combee is so it's harder to get Vespiquen, and Relicanth is probably because it's kind of like a fossil of its own, even though it's much different.
Actually it's 87.5% male and 12.5% female. Same goes for Snorlax, Eevee, Togepi, Combee, Lucario, all the fossils, and for some reason, Relicanth.

I think there's something of a taboo on Chikorita just because how popular Cyndaquil is. Heck, in all the other games, Fire is weak to the first gym (sometimes the first two) yet Fire-type starters are on average the most popular starters. Most people like Charizard best. Grass-types aren't really very popular. Well, anyway, I like a challenge, and I like to catch other Pokémon to help me, so...yeah.

And yes, I do know what I want my team to be. I posted it in that thread about potential lineups for HG/SS.
I guess Totodile and Cyndaquil just seem too clichèd. No one ever chooses Chikorita. And you know, I don't think I've really ever tried a mainly defensive starter... :/ Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever gotten a female starter before. (Except for Firered, but in that one I got all three, so the chances were changed.) I haven't really thought about it, but now I do, I think I want a female Chikoita too. ;D
    >:o ¿How could anyone not like the upgrade? ¡It's awesome! ¡And yes, I am indeed excited for HG/SS! ¿Who isn't?
Nope, not that I can remember. It only added things, it didn't take away anything that was already there in DP. Only thing I wasn't really satisfied with was the Battleground, but that's just me. And it wasn't in DP anyway, so it's no demotion. d('.'d)
Platinum's awesome. There are these move tutors that teach really awesome moves to Pokemon that can't normally learn them, and you can use the move tutors more than once! That was my favorite feature, except maybe the Battle Frontier.
