C#.... I'm pretty sure I came across one created by the creator of NSE that was public. Make sure you give credit if you find it. The images follow the LZ77 compression algorithm, which isn't too hard. It does take a bit of trial and error to code though. Took me a few days to finally get it even with actually asking a lot of people for help. I can't really remember how to decompress and re-compress unfortunately, otherwise I would tell you how to.

I'm going to be very busy for the next few days to months so PM me maybe in like a week or so and we can talk about it. I do need help with some scripting though not as much yet. Are you familiar with JPAN's hacked Firered engine? That's what I'm using, I think it has differences with flags and some other things.

Hey, one last question about UltraViolet. I'm trying to make a warp script with the boat using your 4 point isle girl as the basis, but I can't figure out what in the script dictates where you actually go, and I keep getting sent to One Island. Can you shine any light on that?
