Western New York State, near Rochester, but actually in the middle of nowhere about an hour away :P

It is helping that the people I knew from before are helping to introduce me to new people. Also, I think the anime conventions in my area are pretty good.

I don't think I've seen any really bad weather here; then again I've only been living here since last June.

Pokemon Bank is finally up, so I'm busy assembling a decent team. Are you doing anything with the bank?

Yeah, for now... but apparently up where I used to live, they're getting hammered by bad snowstorms lately - so glad I moved from there :P

I thought about moving to Florida but realized I didn't know anybody in the area. Here, I do have a few contacts who I went to college with so I didn't feel like I was heading into some unknown place.

Usually if we get anything related to a hurricane, it's just the rain - the high winds usually die down a bit as the system moves inland. We'll still get warnings though :P Better safe than sorry, I guess?

Yeah I'm not sure what's in the stuff besides just salt - apparently it's something to either help melt the stuff or lower the freezing point. I just know I'm glad I don't have to put up with it much now :P

I've actually never been that far south in Florida - one trip was to Panama City Beach and the other was to Gainesville. It's kinda risky to own any sort of property there, although my parents own property on the South Carolina coast and there hasn't been a hurricane there since 1989...

As for me, I live pretty far inland, so I'm relatively safe lol

... and today temps were in the mid-60's. Go figure :P At least the snow's gone.

I just thought of another thing: I used to live in a northern state, one that has all the snow equipment. All the road salt they use cause cars to rust out at an alarming rate. It's so refreshing to see that down here, every other car doesn't have rust eating away at the fenders. I've been to Florida a couple of times, I think it'd be an awesome place to live during the winter months - might be a bit hot during the summer lol

Well, I spent my entire childhood putting up with nasty, brutal winters every year, so I'm kinda sick of it now :P

It didn't snow that much, but considering I moved to the south to escape the snow and cold, it's still too much lol And everything still completely shuts down, even if we get just barely enough to cover the ground. Which at least means I didn't have to go outside that day xD

I might have to consider moving farther south... Florida maybe?

I've met a few actually, but usually you don't get the chance to talk with them for any length of time, as there's 100+ people waiting behind you for their turn to meet with them lol
