  • I think most of 80s pop is definitely gonna fall on deaf ears in the generation, but I do like it a lot.

Matangi is good yeah, Kala is just next level though!
which reminds me you may or may not like M.I.A.

she's a rapper but has a distinct sound i think. very intelligent too. critical acclaim everywhere. try out Kala if you want
haha, I'm on the fence about those 3 artists in particular to be honest though. Tay and Drake bore me at the best of times and I've really gone of Beyonce lately. Never was overly found of her though. I prefer 80s pop in all fairness too. And Kylie came out the 80s and she's definitely my favourite pure pop singer. Just these days chart music seems to all sound the same. And then we have really good talent struggling to match a really quite generic pop album like 1989 and that makes me sad.
oh same, plus I enjoy having a broad music taste these days, means I'm rarely bored. Mainstream pop music is boring the hell out of me lately though.
imma think about it since I already use last.fm however rateyourmusic seems a lot more review orientated
I'm actually looking up the inductees to the HoF right now. KISS first comes to mind as a silly one. I Can't doubt that they were marketing geniuses, but that and their costumes were all there was to this half-assed band.

One interesting thing I've learned a while ago is that Sonic Youth's "Daydream Nation" is in the National Archives. Such an amazing album and band.
ok I love all 3 albums I tried today, thank you! I'm gonna cop Feels tomorrow and another Sufjan Steven' album, probably try another band too, probably Eels. And get another Modest Mouse one too the one I have needs a companion
bahah only if i'm around my family. it'll pull a hint of something if i'm with my dads side, it's usually a southern kind of something. i hardly see my mom's side but my mom pulls out her cajun accent.. it's actually pretty funny. ohp and i promise i'll listen to those songs i'm at my aunts and they wifi is sketch.
oh wow that is rather beautiful! And I'm gonna listen ti them later so I'll tell you then, but I'll more than likely get another AnCo album
obviously American Football only have one (and i really love it tbh) & I got the albums from the other two that had the songs you suggested
I was a netflix and gaming break. I got no presents since my family is tight financially, but my mom is getting me a PS4 as an early birthday present (I'm turning 20 on the 28th). So it was just a few weeks of watching movies, playing Pokemon and Fallout, and Spotify binging :)

How was Ohio? Did you or have you gone to Cleveland? I have a friend who has been there for a while, he said it's a pretty sketchy city.
ok i'm trying american football, animal collective and sufjan stevens for now i will report back later
    wo wo wo

i skimmed through them I know Modest Mouse (i have like one album) and I love Arcade Fire so... I'll have a look at some of the others! Eels I recognise. And Jimmy Eat World. And Animal Collective tbh. Thanks thanks thanks
