Well, the people that owned the shop were my best friend's grandparents, so we had access to promos and free league badges. :P They also got me the Southern Island set for my birthday, but I don't have all of them anymore. I was an idiot and didn't care for a card that wasn't sparkly.

I don't collect as much as I used to. I'm more into the games and manga...and we don't have any league's held around here anymore. Pokemon took my state by storm, but most fans didn't stick around when the second generation started to rear its head, unfortunately.

I do both. I used to play at the shop that was the first place the Pokemon cards were sold at in my state, but I haven't been in over a year because none of my buddies are there anymore. I still play, though. My brother and I play a lot, and I've been collecting since '98...cause I'm old like that.

I never really build decks..well, I mean, I do build them, its just theres knowwhere to play... :S Only my 6 year old sister (Who is actually very good! Shes won me 3-1!) But its not the same...
