Do you have your structure plotted out? I'm sure you're familiar with writing an essay but for this particular project I think you could start it off at the basis of the issue, basically tip the iceberg a little then build on it throughout the essay. But I also feel starting it out with a more important aspect of the issue would help you a lot more and inspire you along the way.
I know it's about the culture and the effects it has on children, but I'd also add discipline as well, how they were raised, mental issues, particular games unsupervised by parents, go in depth when talking about the youth; put them in age groups, etc. As for starting the essay, I'm not really sure what your intentions are as it being factual, where facts and studies prove; or opinionated, as in your true beliefs?

Is it for letter/essay to enroll or something different?

That's nice, I don't even got my associates so you're way ahead of me haha. As a musician I get writers block time to time. I've been dealing with it too for the last month or so, I need to get something going.
