Well Pokerus is a virus that your Pokemon could get in the games. As bad as it may sounds, it actually helps your Pokemon grow stronger!

It helps your Pokemon's stat grow faster than usual. Like if you fight a Geodude and you gain 2 defense EV's, if your Pokemon is infected with the Pokerus, it will gain 4 defense EV's instead.

You can also make other Pokemon infected by having your Pokemon who is infected fight in battles, and it might just give the Pokreus to the other Pokemon in your current team.

However the Pokerus will go away after a few days and you could see if it's gone by having a little yellow smilie face below it's status bar. But if you wanna conserve the Pokerus on a Pokemon, you could put it in a PC box and keep it there until midnight.

Also, the chance of getting infected with the Pokerus is 3 in 65 536. Which is around 1/3 of the chance of encountering a Shiny Pokemon.

It's probably because I've been depressed lately. Drawing and listening to Time's End makes reduces it though.
