  • they're pretty sexy too
Hi Miau, I wonder if you could have identified my real gender... I know chaoticlapras and diab_low are playing tricks on you.
As for other exclusives, there are very few outside of White Forest, which features a LOT of exclusives. Route 12 has the Metapod/Kakuna (in rustling grass could appear the fully evolved Butterfree and Beedrill), then at the Abundant Shrine you find Misdreavous or Murkrow depending on version. Other Routes have no exclusives except the odd Unova exclusives (in fact, fully evolved Whimsicott and Lilligant are found in Abuntant Shrine), and Challenger's Cave has no exclusives. Both striped fish can be found in both games, but one is found in rippling water whereas the other is more common in standard surfing..
Solosis and Rufflet (the latter caught at Lv.48 at Village Bridge - to speed the leveling up to evolve - prior to the trading) have already been traded to me and fully evolved. I missed the in-game NPC and did a Cottonee/Petilil trade as well., using my Stone on that before noticing the NPC while reviewing the Nacrene City article on Bulbapedia. LMAO

When trading on Wireless, you get to see what your trading partner is doing in their boxes; in other words, both traders can see the Pokémon being selected. It always starts where your party is located, and Box 1 is to the right, while Box 24 (the highest allowed number of boxes, which if you're curious can be obtained by first having a minimum of 1 Pokémon in the initial eight boxes at once, then doing the same with the new total of 16) is located to the left. I renamed Box 24 "TRADES" (you would not see this nor can I see your names, I think). This means anything I plan to trade at some point is in there (right now, I have a Swellow in there, and possibly a couple I have not relocated yet).

Typically you can select up to three Pokémon; this would be like saying you can pick any of the three for any of his three. Since trades can't be done three at a time, there's no point to choosing more than one most of the time (which is why I like listing it out, then it's just following the list; I almost got thrown for a loop in my last session when a Landorus was going to be traded and I'm rushing to PC on my phone saying "No, not Landorus" LMAO). Once your tradeables are selected, the screens change sides and you get to pick one (again, usually the only one). Trade is confirmed by both parties following the selection, as a final "Are you sure" type of thing, and once both confirm, you see the graphic of your Pokémon being Pokéballed (even an Egg), a graphic of the two trading places outside the balls, and the Ball then bounces in front of you producing your new Pokémon. It then says it's stopping communication (I got confused by this at first, but I believe the game also saves here), and the trade window pops back up to do it all over again.

On any screen, pushing B can cancel trading. On the main trading screen, if nothing is selected, pushing B ends the session. The exception is after the final confirmation, when the trading process begins; you can no longer cancel at this point.

The room used for Wifi trading, battling, etc. is the middle room on the upper floor of the Pokémon Center. It looks a lot like the Union Room to the left of it, it's just the wireless version whereas the Union Room is for people in the same area.
I also have Box 24 named Trades, so my own Milotic will not be in there preventing confusion. It's thus to the left of my party at the time of trading. :)

I also caught two Swellows by accident on Route 13 one day. If you want to save the trouble of catching one (which being someone else's Pokémon, BTW, increases breeding rates in your game with that bird), find something in your White Forest and we can make it a trade as well. :)
I'll type it out better, you are on the left in trading terms and items need not be noted as you only have one to evolve, so nothing specific of note here. You're generally right, however.

    Feebas for Clamperl (both evolve)
Huntail/Gorebyss (whichever it is) for Clamperl (latter also evolves)
Huntail/Gorebyss for Milotic (evolved from first trade)

This would have the added effect of clearing Feebas on my caught list (received in trade #1), if I'm not mistaken, as well as clearing the entire Clamperl line on yours (since you receive the Clamperl in #1, and #2 only the evolution needs to be registered). Post-trade, you are then free to catch your own Clamperl and evolve whichever one you want - or if you're lucky to find it, the version exclusive of the evolutions (I wasn't so lucky, I got five Kinglers which listed the same 5% rate and said it's not worth it since I still have to trade for one).

This leaves a question: do you play White or Black? If White, and if you need other version exclusives, we could always add a couple that you really want for a couple that I could use in my Pokédex. I can clear them eventually from the other games once I finish them, but I'd rather get the ones within Black/White that are all catchable there (that includes things like Metapod from White for Kakuna in Black, they are both Route 12 version exclusives). Doing trades like that clears that entire evolutionary chain from needing to be imported. There are chains that cannot be found at all, mind (see for instance Puchu/Pikachu/Raichu, a very unfortunate exemption that could have been added in a separate previously-unknown region of Chargestone Cave, giving reason to return, and heck, put the Sage in that new area - as if he discovered the area - instead of an out-of-the-way corner), and those types of chains I will still be forced to import when I finish, say, Soul Silver.
Do you like PC? Yeah Hikari and Diablo are both really cool blokes! Call him (Hikari) the master of Oshawottz. As for the trick, I'm sure they'll do it! Don't worry, its a nice funny trick. It failed on me though. Hikari is such a cool bloke, just dont metion Julian Assange around him.
Heya, hows it going? I see you're a new user here at the mrvellous PokeCommunity! Oh great, you've also met Diab-Low and The Master of Oshawottz - Hikari10! They are both amazing guys! P.S. Have they done the trick on you yet? XD.
White exclusive swarms are in 3, 6, 9, and 11. 11 is Paras, 9 is Poochyena, 3 is Illumise, and 6 is the obvious opposite to my Plusle, the Minun. The rest of the Routes are the same in both versions. If the swarm highlights these in the gatehouse, grab them since they make good trading material as version exclusives. :)

Interestingly, in B2/W2, the Routes 9/11 swarms become Swalot and Masquerain and Routes 20/22 are version exclusive swarms. One features Mr. Mime and Sudowoodo depending on version. I am going to forever wonder if the info for a Pokémon traded to B2/W2 for Route 10 will still say Route 10 (I'm sure that one will), but what will happen for one going back in time to where Routes 19-23 don't yet exist. That will be interesting to see if I do such a trade. Nonetheless, one that is hatched from an Egg would not have this dilemma.
If you just aren't lucky enough to find a Milotic, BTW, get in touch with me and I'll help trade it around to evolve provided you give it a Prism Scale (the northeastern shore on Route 13 has one, and there's another gifted at the Undella Town Pokémon Center). You can trust me to give it back since:

    1. I already have one (this would in fact give me the Feebas entry as "caught", too, I believe)
    2. I have two other Pokémon that have to evolve from Clamperls, giving you the catch status on all three of these.

Clamperl, speaking of it, is found on Route 4 by fishing, but rippling water is not required; the evolutions are apparently found in rippling water but I have not been so lucky, and they are version exclusives so I have to trade to evolve at least one. For your info, collect the DeepSeaScale and DeepSeaTooth from Routes 13 and 17 respectively, or random treasures from the treasure guy on 13, which can be manipulated by saving before talking to him and quitting without saving if you don't like the item, then trying again, though you can only get one item a day so get the other the next day doing the same thing. Once you have these, hand them to two caught Clamperls and do a three way trade (which is what I'm offering to do to help you get Milotic, I'll explain in detail if you want to go ahead). Prior to evolution, they boost Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense, but are useless after evolution as it only affects Clamperl (and perhaps consumed preventing further use, I have no idea yet).

Also go for Politoed in rippling water on Route 6. After all, it learns Perish Song. That can be deadly against a tough Pokémon - especially if there's no one left in the other party - but remember to swap out before the user dies, too!
Milotic is a 5% chance of appearing ONLY at Route 1 and ONLY in rippling water. Definitely go for that over Feebas (its unevolved form) because you otherwise will have to trade it away holding a Prism Scale to evolve it. Of course, if the Feebas is in the 60s, it might be worth it...but note I successfully Quick Balled a wild Milotic at Lv.69 on the first shot (making it at the time my highest-leveled Pokémon, I was at the time no higher than 67), so I'd go for that first. Note that you have to fish for it, so beat the E4 before trying for it.

Strategy: get out of the water in the area of land where the gatehouse to Route 17 is located, go to the bottom of the tiny land area there (do NOT go upstairs or through any dark grass, stay where you make landfall), and get on your bike. Pedal back and forth in that six tile area on the far left. That gives the bubbling brew the best chance of appearing in the area you can reach without having to surf back out and around the cliff on the right.

Haven't touched it yet; so far I've only trained two non-Unova Pokémon, most notably Corsola (which I gave Pokérus to), as I want to get all of the Unova ones to the 60s, preferably 70s, before moving on to the new ones. I'll be trying to catch everything available in the game, meanwhile, while training. I'm going at a good clip with only three swarms left to locate on Routes 5, 7, and 18 (just caught a Shroomish today), but I have to find someone with the White exclusives to trade with now.
Hi and WELCOME TO PC I'm a friend of Requility and Hikari they are both cool blokes to talk to :)
Welcome to PC n_n I read your intro thread - did you learn about EVs and IVs because you might possibly wanna learn battling? Well, online at least without local wifi. :x
