Emerald hack: Pokémon CrystalDust [v3 PUBLIC ALPHA]

Just dropping in to show off the compilation of a few encounter themes that I've worked on for the hack. (You guys have probably already heard the youngster encounter, but I believe no one has heard the Lass or Beauty encounter remixes yet.) SXWg3XbPPqE Enjoy!

If my memory isn't failing me, you get it in the Ice Path between Magogany Town and Blackthorn City.

The ticket for the S.S. Aqua isn't in this beta. You'll be able to go to Kanto in beta 3 and up.

Emerald hack: Pokémon CrystalDust [v3 PUBLIC ALPHA]

So after some consulting with Diego, we both have agreed that posting my track progress here would be a pretty good idea, so I'll be doing that whenever I can get around to it. Anyways, as of late I've worked on 2 themes that you guys probably won't be hearing until the next beta is released...

Actually, if I recall correctly, he was planning on putting in the Sevii Islands, not the Orange Islands.

GBA/NDS: Looping! Never touch a text editor ever again!

You sir, are a real life saver. I always found looping to be an incredible hassle in the past, but now I can do it in under 2 minutes. This is so awesome! Thanks!

Things seem to really be shaping up here. I'm quite enjoying the updated goldenrod, and the new overworld sprites are nice too.

1st Gen Did you ever play the original green?

Yeah, I own a Green Version. Never really did much with it though. It's fun to play on my super gameboy or Jap pokemon stadiums, since I can see all the weird sprites in color.

So, since this is a FRLG style remake, I thought I'd try my hand at making a remix of Cherrygrove city in the same kind of music style FRLG has, and I think it'd sound nice in your hack, so if you want the midi I have it right here. http://bin.smwcentral.net/u/5598/Cherrygrove%2BCity%2BFRLG.mid...

I'd like to offer a suggestion, regarding the stat menus. Perhaps you could change the palettes to what they were in Ruby and Sapphire? They were very close to the original stat screens in jap GSC regarding setup and colors, and I think it'd make the hack more authentic looking if you changed...

Emerald hack: Pokémon CrystalDust [v3 PUBLIC ALPHA]

I've tried out the new demo, and I have to say that I am very very impressed. It blows shiny gold, crystal shards and liquid crystal out of the water. By far the best GSC remake out there, and it isn't even finished yet. Please diego, keep up the amazing work. Also, will the ruin puzzles be...

Emerald hack: Pokémon CrystalDust [v3 PUBLIC ALPHA]

So does this mean you're going to add the night exclusives into the encounters for each route and make their appearances really rare until you get to the final release where you can insert this feature, or are you perhaps going to wait until the very end to implement the night time exclusives in...

Thanks a bunch, you're a real life saver. I've been using it for a few hours now to assemble my midis and it works great.

Ah, well that certainly sheds some light on my issue. Does such a Midi2AGB exist that's compatible with the new Sappy, or is there any sort of way I can make Midi2AGB compatible on my own then?
