  • I didn't adopt the belief, I learned it. One of my classes this year is "Mass Media and Social Implications" and pretty much everything is owned by 15 media companies spanning TV, Movies, Books, Newspapers, Magazines, and Radio. The only real independents in the world are small town newspapers who can get away with stuff because big companies don't see them as a threat until the towns become heavily populated. You want content neutral stuff? Read a paper from Montana somewhere.

    Yeah, not really. Almost all journalists are part of the media Oligopoly which means they must be required to follow that companys principles. We have very little control now. Journalism is almost become Reality TV.
