And at the wings of the starter evo.

Wings -> I know that it's the light source, just that you did that around your wings, which makes it look like the sunlight is all over the place.

Pillow shading is basically when you shade just a bit at the edge of the sprite along the outline.
It's not exactly bad, it's just that you pillowshaded with a highlight making the light source look like it's coming from the top.

Maybe you could make the face look more like a parrotfish face by adding a beak.
Also avoid pillow shading with highlights, especially on the 1st stage. Don't make the highlight run down its back, cause that makes it look like the light source is from the top, and it's meant to be top-left.
Same applies to the dorsal fins.
