I remember that some parts of the US get High Plains, Sun and Polar Pattern instead of the usual Modern. And there's Hawaii with its exclusive Ocean Pattern as well.

I think that was a stupid idea by Game Freak, putting the Pokemon in one version and the Mega Stone in the other. I bet that, like the Vivillon forms they were essentially encouraging you to trade.

Speaking of Vivillons... I do feel sorry you ended up in the region that gets one of the most common forms (ugh Modern) while I was more lucky to have gotten one of the more uncommon ones (I get River Pattern in my region) since I heard River Pattern is uncommon, but not really rare either. It's like, in the middle as far as rarity of the forms goes.

Plus they are not the authorities when it comes to competitives. I hope Smogon shows them how to use Delphox effectively.

I was fine with most but not happy they skipped over my 5th Gen loves. They all look good but Heracross and Manectric were messed up a lot. I'll more likely be playing X rather than Y once I get the games as a result because I think X got the better end of the exclusives.

I like you and Cyclone's talk on Mega Evolutions there. I was quite frustrated when I found out a lot of my faves were getting left out, they basically put fan favoritism first when it came to distributing them, namely Mewtwo and Charizard which are like the top two fave Pokemon of the general fanbase.

You forgot Pinsir and Aerodactyl for Kanto. And in Hoenn, you forgot Absol. I however intentionally didn't include the Latios/Latias pairing or Blaziken in the listings. And I think you meant Manectric, not "Magnetic". Damn autocorrect. :)

I was looking forward for a GS remake too buddy, but they ruined it... Sigh... It didn't feel the same for me...
While I'm extremely satisfied with the Kanto remakes, it made me love Kanto even more. :)

Add to that all the Hoenn Pokémon that get Mega Evolutions, but none from Unoiva. Numbers are as follows:

Kanto: 10
Johto: 5
Hoenn: 8
Sinnoh: 3

While we have a lot of Kanto megas as well, three are starters and another is Mewtwo, while Blaziken is from a starter as well. That leaves Hoenn with 7 having the most Mega Evolutions (Kanto with 6) that do not involve starters or special. Weak evidence perhaps, but another Hoenn hint for me.

It's happening. Count on it.

Prior to Hoenn's debut. Johto was my favorite over Kanto. :') I do not hate Johto, it's more like Hoenn completely took that spot.

Pokemon like Feraligatr, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Noctowl, Ampharos, Espeon and Umbreon were all once my top favorites. They just sank and slowly got kicked out of my fav list. :( Because they were unobtainable prior to FrLg and Emerald. Kind of like you lost contact to a person and slowly the relationship with them just POOF! and went down just like that.

Brave Bird looks great in XY tbh, but you already know how I hate slow animations, right? :P

If memory serves, RS was the very first Pokemon games you ever played, right? Have you ever tried playing the previous Generations prior to RS?

Gosh! I swear I hate using Brave Bird in Gen VI...

What's your thought on Blastoise learning Dark Pulse. It doesn't make sense to me, even with that sound effect. On the other hand, actually Dragon Pulse would be much better! Since turtles and tortoises are usually affiliated to Dragons in some part of Asian countries.
