LOL...the only Pokedex I've managed to complete so far is the Hoenn Pokedex in Emerald Version, and the only reason I did that is to obtain Totodile from Professor Birch. I was going to attempt it two more times to claim Cyndaquil and Chikorita, respectively, but lo and behold, these little gems came along. :D

However, the chances that I'll be able to complete the Hoenn Dex again are slim, as I lack other Generation 3 cartridges and my friend's GameBoy Advance. :( Furthermore, my current Emerald save file isn't the "actual/official" one I intended to play through, as I named myself "Landon" when I typically name myself "Sean" in Hoenn playthroughs. I'm just going to say that I tend to be very particular about the "Original Trainer" of each Pokemon (should I have a choice in selecting what the name is), and leave it at that. >_>

But yeah...once I'm able to enter Generation 5 in "Gray Version", I'll work toward regional and National Dex completion. The only problem is the GTS complication of where you have to see a Pokemon in-game to request it, as I'm going to need a few exclusives from DP, SoulSilver, and BW. I wish I encountered local friends/neighbors who had the games, though. :(

Oh yeah, and those pesky event Pokemon. I've missed all of the Generation 4 events, and I'm on track on missing a bunch of Gen 5 ones as well. Wish I could just Pokesav them onto my Pokemon cartridge(s).

You're lucky. All my friends grew out of Pokémon way, way back when. I love training up in these new games because of Audino and the Lucky Egg. They made it really nice and easy. It will be terrible going back to SS or something and trying to train up just as fast. It won't be fun. ;(

Yellow was the easiest to complete because you were given the three starters and they are always a pain to have to get in the first evolution and then train them up to lvl 36, one by one. At least in Yellow you (generally) use them in your party so you have them all the way through. Then you only need a few leftovers from Red/Blue.

I don't think I have any friends that would actually play Pokémon anymore, haha...

I am (hoping) to try and get a complete Pokédex eventually. I haven't done that since Red. I keep forcing myself not to play the game during the week so I can concentrate on my coursework, so progress is pretty slow. I haven't even finished the game yet. XD;
