  • i won't tell ya not to but i'll also say thats boring as hell. better to do loose sketches of things that are actually interesting and you want to inprove on- there's lots of volume and simplified-shape based anatomy tutorials around. i watched a guy called uhhhh Proko?? for a little bit and he was alright but i really just aim for the ones that break down anatomy
To be fair, your AU doesn't have the Traveller so there's no reason to assume Irminsul has been cured yet.
theres a lot of teaching centered around drawing out form and volume and then drawing the details on top of it, which is very very difficult imo but does help a lot with learning how things exist in relation to each other
Nice! You know, you can use all kinds of things for references. Like, if you want to practice facial expressions you could take a couple photos of people and try to understand why the expression they make looks that way and try and draw them that way.

Maybe you could also use helper lines to help you have more control over the size of different parts of the body? You can draw them with a pencil and then later erase them again. If you're afraid of losing some of the lines you want to keep consider using a black pen or something like that drawing over those.

I'm glad you're still dedicated to your art, as well. :D
The lore drop at the end was a bit less than what I was hoping for but very interesting nonetheless. It also raised some intriguing questions and I am excited for when we get the answers.
His inability to manage his money is good evidence as to why he's not lmao. I've mostly finished the Sumeru archon quest stuff now. Just the last little bit after the boss fight and Boat of Consciousness stuff to wrap it up. I hope that they actually give use the lore that Nahida got.

On a related note, I lost my 50/50 for Nahida and got Mona instead. So rip me.
oh wtf i didn't hit send?? yikes sorry

holding things is definitely really hard haha theres so much complexity that we just kind of take for granted about it in everyday life
I mean, blue and white could also very easily be Cryo. He might also just not be playable at all.
Hard to say really. All of the Harbingers and gods have multiple names so I guess it's not that uncommon.
it takes practice and observation just like any other! i think its harder tho because hands are so much more expressive and have a wider range of motion than near anything else
hands are one of the hardest things to make work for a LOT of people. im always fascinated by artists who can draw amazing hands, or convey gesture really well.

the url doesnt show up btw haha but i found it!
I've seen a lot of theories that Kaeya is a relative of Dottore's. Honestly, I'm not sure I buy into them, but they do make some sense.
Tracing is bad when used to make works that you would profit from, and when traced stuff is posted around without credit to the original as if the tracing was fully the tracer's own.

Referencing though, oh boy. So many people have got it in their head that referencing is a problem. It absolutely is not. You NEED to reference. ALL artists reference. That is literally the only way we can make stuff. Referencing life, referencing photos, referencing other art- referencing is inherent to any, ANYTHING creative. Without referencing you can not learn.

congrats on finishing them out :) that's a lot of art!
