  • I mean, it's not usually meant literally it's a figure of speech in everyday language. So it's not really a trope it's just a common phrase finding its way into peoples' work.
I definitely expect it to be a wild, maybe even violent, place given it is ruled by the archon of war. Volcanoes could be interesting.
I mean, I don't see Natlan being as technologically inconsistent with the rest of the world. But who knows what wild shit we'll see there?
She was the leader sure, but she's a strategist not an active combatant.

Tell that to the Sumpter Beasts that seem to want the Traveller dead lmao

    You can? Weird.
I mean, again, they're all capable fighters because they need to be for the game to work. But that doesn't mean it's their jobs. Even in Inazuma. Ayaka, Ayato, Thoma, Yoimiya, Itto, Shinobu, Miko and arguably Kokomi and the Shogun don't really have jobs that require them to participate in any sort of regular combat. They just happen to all be vision bearers skilled with weapons.

I could see it as a thing you have to run from/avoid in certain places maybe. Given that we can't fight back in the water though, I'm not sure I see it being a huge part of the gameplay even if they did do something like that.
I know. That's why he straight up just throws an arrow as part of his combo. Which is also the attack that does the most damage lmao. That's cool. I quite like the concept of characters who can change their playstyle as part of their ability.

I mean, it's definitely true most of them aren't primarily warrior but that's kind of true of everywhere. Most characters have a primary occupation that doesn't inherently involve combat and also just happen to be capable combatants otherwise.
I guess Kaveh's kind of like Dori in that respect, so maybe it's a Sumeru thing? I guess she's still in control of it and she had to be paired with a weapon of some sort so, more or less? She counts as much as Kaveh anyway. I'm all for more unique ways for character to wield weapons although it is off they're basically doing the same thing twice so close together.

He's the reverse of Childe in that respect, I suppose.
He really does not look like a Claymore user but then again, neither does Sayu so whatever works.
I mean, as someone who draws in that art style, making characters look older than their 20's is actually surprisingly hard. I think it's basically like child, seemingly endless uniform void of vague adulthood, made of wrinkles. It's weirdly difficult to portray different periods of adulthood. Maybe that's just a me thing though lol.

Imagine naming your kid Tall, having them grow up to be below average and then having to pretend it was intended irony all along.
Taka means a bunch of different things, but idk about tall. Also, I was well over 6'0" at that age. It's not that odd.

Klee is definitely not 10-12. She acts way too young for that. I'd guess her at around 8 but even then she acts very young for that age. She's also elven like Alice though, so who knows? Maybe they mature slowly. Yoimiya could be late teens or early twenties. Not much of a difference really.

Honestly, it's probably partly because of Alice and partly because it lets them keep an eye on her so she doesn't detonate anything she shouldn't lmao.
