Physical copies are more convenient anyway, and it is kinda novel to actually own the things. My parents have never commented on my activities, other than my mother occasionally grumbling that my downloading stuff slows our internet connection...and she's probably right. Oh well. I think my first copy of Leaf Green was bootlegged, actually - unless the US version of Leaf Green had trainers calling you a bastard when you beat them. I didn't do quite as much importing back then as I do now, but I used to buy a lot of sketchy games off eBay because I didn't want to wait. xD

It's often like watching a completely different show with the same plot; it's really jarring. I think the only instance where I've watched a show in subbed and dubbed and preferred the second version to the first is Hellsing Ultimate...and I only watched that subbed because of the obscene wait times between the episodes. I was 15 or 16 when I first saw Ghost in the Shell I think; when I was discovering that anime wasn't just a different brand of American cartoon. I liked the TV series more than I did the movies, but I was really into police drama at the time. Dark days. xD

Ah, at that time. I suppose the power isn't as powerful as it would initially seem, then. still very useful though. I wonder if Eldritch wishes he had a different power? since his takes such a huge toll on him.
As for the flaws thing, would you ever consider making a sovereign with an unflawed power? that would be totally overpowered, I know, but it would be interesting to hear your reasoning :-P

but yeah, I think that's a great topic. normally we focus on their powerful aspects and not how to take advantage of them or anything. in fact, that's what gleam failed to think about, if I remember correctly - she'd often brute force her way through her battles. am I right here?

Pretty sure that's illegal, but eh, who cares. If Nintendo don't want people to pirate games like this they should make them themselves, aha. Ironically, games are about the only media I don't pirate, and they're by far the most expensive. I suppose that's some kind of karma at work.
These things are usually popular for a reason, but sometimes it's hard to figure out what that reason is, right? Guess we'll both get to the other two seasons of it eventually. Maybe. It's amazing how hard it can be to make time for a seven minute show sometimes.

I know what you mean; once I've watched a show in one language I can't watch it another. I've done it with a few shows, and I've vastly preferred it in the language I heard it in first each time. I associate the characters with their voices and anything else sounds strange. This has caused more than a few problems when shows are redubbed with different voice casts...Ghost in the Shell: Arise was rather jarring and not quite as enjoyable for me as it might otherwise have been. Especially considering Kusanagi's original VA was voicing a different character in exactly the same voice.

Waitwait, you can get physical copies of Liquid Crystal? Gotta get me one of those. Was it for DS, or GBA? I had no idea ROMhacks were put on physical cartridges! That's pretty cool, even if it is incomplete and/or glitchy...a lot of complete fan projects - mostly on Kickstarter - never even bother with physical releases. I wish more would; I'd be more inclined to back them. I find a lot of modern movies have pacing issues; they either drag out or try and condense far too much into too short a period. I didn't make it through the first Hunger Games movie; I got bored of it, aha. I've not read the books yet, but it's on my "should probably do this somewhen" list. I imagine the beginning of the novels is a lot less dry than the beginning of the movie, though. I'd hope so, anyway. I avoided Pupa, as I'm generally not fond of short episode shows...well, I suppose Miss Monochrome was alright, but it's difficult for me to get invested in them. Glad we agree about Mahouka. xD

It is? I thought they skipped it entirely to keep up with the new releases of the cards; if they're going over it dubbed that's great! Vanguard has a pretty good dub in my opinion, since it's not cutpaste from the standard voice cast. The voices actually fit the characters, too...mostly. Part of the reason I'm not keen on Kamui is his VA, and his infuriating friends and slang terms. Do kids these days REALLY talk like that? He's not unbearable, and he always puts on a good show - he's one of those competent underdog characters, I think - but...yeah, he's not my type of character either. So, Legion Mate is essentially sanctifying the Aichi x Kai OTP they've been pushing since the first season? I could live with that. xD
Have you seen the live action film? I kinda want to, in a masochistic sort of way. I have a feeling it'll be diabolical, but I'm curious.
