  • Ask about it, you never know. It'd be easier to get a job while you're at college and it'd feel like more money than if you had more responsibilities.
You don't get a student loan? That's how students live here if we don't have a job on the side.
You should sign up to Paypal! It's nice being able to buy stuff online without having to keep putting your card details in over and over.
    :)
It's the first time I've been part of a community that I've felt obliged to help upkeep. I'll keep donating here and there for as long as I'm here. 'Cause this forum is damn deserving of it!
The sketch show with the puppets of political figures? I've seen clips but never seen a full epsode. What I have seen is hilarious. Is there a show like that in the states?
Not specifically for roasting, that I'm aware of. We have comedy panel shows that are pretty much meant for roasting/banter.
We're not all funny xD But yeah it's more of a British thing. It's similar to 'roasting'.
Bants is short for banter, which is lighthearted, witty conversation. Sometimes teasing someone playfully, like a friend. Think a bunch of guy friends making fun of one another but it's funny and no-one get offended. Some people use the term these days to mean good, harmless fun. It's a very Brittish word.
Ohh so it's like a Brony forum? I enjoyed scimming through the Unpopular Opinion thread lol Bare bants.
I know it is and i really like Blizzard for it. But the whole thing aside from Blizzard's response is stupid.
A mini ice age? What? That it's the single most stupid thing I have heard in years. Where? Hope it's not Fox or the Daily Mail.

Ah well, I expect Lisalombs to publish a peer-reviewed paper on a scientific journal, otherwise it's a random guy talking politics. I guess it's hard to argue this topic when you have two different meanings of the word "evidence".

I'd guess we'd have to agree to disagree. I'd just ask you not to blow up the world where I'm trying to live meanwhile. But I guess you won't agree to that either since you think burning up the world is actually good for the economy, which is... yeah. It's hard to find any point in common.
I have a question, though: if 97% of all scientists working on the field agree that climate change is real, serious and man-made, and have a ton of studies to back it up, why do you think that is so? Are they all wrong? Is there a conspiracy? I legitimately would like to know.
"I'm a former AMS certified (Seal 676 retired) television meteorologist who spent 25 years on the air and who also operates a weather technology and content business"

Checking RationalWiki, "As is typical of media weathercasters, Watts (a college dropout) has no academic training in the physics of climate or related disciplines. Unencumbered by scientific expertise he works by intuition, and intuitively he could not bring himself to accept the documented increase in the U.S. surface temperature record."

Yeah, sounds like he's a much more trustworthy guy than every climate scientist out there.

I'm afraid science is not something you can play at if you aren't a scientist, lest you end up missing obvious stuff or saying all the wrong things because you can't even understand how wrong you are.
Global warming is an issue I myself am indecisive on. Based on evidence on both sides, I feel the Earth's climate is changing, but we're not causing it. The Earth's climate changes periodically over time, and would whether we were burning fossil fuels or not. If the Earth were actually getting hotter, how the hell would it have recently snowed in Egypt for the first time in over a century?
