  • For Kangkaskhan, I'm thinking Return and the rest you listed.
For Scizor, shouldn't I use the original Scizor build you gave me? If not, which moveset do you think the best? I'm thinking Roost, Bullet Punch, Pursuit, X-scissor. Makes full use of ability and gives me sustain and type coverage.

For Gyrados, I'm thinking option 2 you gave me.

For Gliscor, I'm thinking Earthquake, Toxic, Roost, Ice Fang. Coupled with his ability, extreme sustain and really good type coverage.

For Mamoswine I'm so torn. I really don't know which one I should do. I want stealth rock, garunteed. I need an entry hazard. I just don't know if I want both Ice Shard AND Icicle Crash, but I need a strong Ice move for the OHKO, and Ice shard for priority.... I could always use a rock move on Gyrados right? If that's the case, I'll do that.

For Togekiss, I'm assuming you mean your old post since you didn't comment anything here.
I actually have a different idea for a pokemon team. Here's who I wanna use. Can you recommend me EV's, natures, held items and move set for them?

    Kangaskhan, with Megastone
Scizor, with potentially megastone, unless you recommend better
Absol, with megastone, unless you recommend better
Gliscor, not sure which ability to use
Mamoswine, Oblivious (going to use hidden stone thing)
and Togekiss, with the nature and moveset you gave me earlier.

The only thing I'm missing here, is someone with wish, otherwise I think it's a pretty damn stable team. What do you think?
That's no problem. Seeing all your posts is really showing me how much there is to know about the competitive metagame.
    lol

Oh, and I love how Slayr has recognized your knowledge of the metagame and all the changes that come with it. You really do a great job with team-rating, he claims you do it even better than the people he saw at Smogon.
Hello there, I thought I would drop by and give a word of thanks (hopefully this doesn't seem too creepy).

First of all, I would just like to say that your knowledge on the meta-game is amazing. Whenever I read your team rates and discussion topics, a new perspective that I never thought about before is brought to my attention. You always have something good to add to a topic and an idea or two on how to improve even the most tested team. Which, brings me to your team rates.

I don't know if you remember, but when I posted my first team, I was that one guy who absolutely had to use Gigalith. I now see that flaw today, but you respected that wish and gave me various sets on it where others would have pressured me to get rid of it (which you did, but to a lesser extent). I think the point which I really started to respect you was when you rated my grass team. I had gone to Smogon previously and almost every comment received was that I should either choose a new type, or ditch my entire team and start again from scratch. All everyone else was doing was pointing out the holes and saying how much my team sucked and was walled by various types. You were the only person who was willing to work with me to improve my team. Because of this, whenever I battle someone on Showdown who wants me to rate their team, I point them here. I point them here because I know that their team will receive some of the best feedback possible. I don't know if you enjoy giving the feedback, but you do an outstanding job and helped my team to become a tournament winning team. I've tried my hand at team rates before on another site, but I failed miserably at it. I just can't seem to suggest the right sets or go as in-depth as you do with the strategies. To sum up what I have just said into one sentence, you're the best team rater I have ever had the privilege to come across.

I guess to sum up all that I'm trying to say, thanks. Thanks for willing to work with some of the most stubborn people (me) and not put anybody down. I hope this doesn't come across as creepy, but I don't know how often you get thanked, but I know one thing for sure. It isn't often enough.
Yeah, I have to admit those two are quite balanced. I was surprised that Slurpuff learns Surf, but then again I've seen a lot of unusual users of the move.
I feel a bit disappointed that the majority of Fairy-types have lower-than-average stats, making them too weak for OU. At least you mentioned the likes of Azumarill, Sylveon, Xerneas, Florges and Togekiss being ones that notably stand out.
O.O I thought it had higher attack. Though I could be wrong. Also could Chestnaught survive a Flying type attack with 252 in both hp and Def?
I don't own a 3DS but when I do I will be choosing him (debating on Him or Greninja due to simple sweeper evs for him 252/Spe 252/Att 4/undecided. And For Chesnaught 252/Hp&Def should avoid 1HKOs from Flying type I guessso that should work. Hmm, Maybe Iill use both.
    252/Hp
    100/Def
    100/Sdef
    60/Attack
I dont understand why 252/Def and spdef wont work tho, doesn't defence reduce damage more than hp?
I have minccino :3 don't know if I have cottonee though, haven't gone through all my safaris yet!
Fun! <3 And I'm actually redoing my team since postgame I always make a new IV/EVed team nowadays. Planning on Meowstic, male Pyroar, Sylveon, Floette, Noivern, and maybe Raichu/Mienshao/Cinccino/Whimsicott to fil that last slot. my favorites!
I beat the story last Friday. Just breeding and doing other things now. ^^ You?
