Well any status condition at all is bad, so Guts is a bit risky, but I still suggest switching in on a T-wave more than anything else.
He's still prey even if he's burned or poisoned since his HP is being drained it makes it easy for almost anything to get a painful hit on Heracross.

So.. Fire Fang from CBChomp will take roughly 100 HP from Skarmory. Stealth Rock.. I dunno how much damage that would deal to Skarmory as I honestly haven't tested it. It's not super effective, so I'm pretty sure Skarmory walls that too.

Eh, I suggest throwing Heracross in only on T-wave.
Afterall, it's already slow, not like T-wave can do much to your plan unless your opponent gets the parahax on you. D:

Well if there's the threat of Taunt, you should just do this :

You usually won't have a need for Pain Split as you could just do this:
Mean Look + Perish Song + Protect + Protect [It's hard to OHKO Mismagius unless it's up against a Physical Pokemon so if Protect fails there isn't too much concern.]

Eh, I'm used to seeing CBChomp on sand storm teams as it's a major beast in that situation. ]:
But I guess you could use it outside of ss teams without too much worry..
Though in OU battles, Skarmory could pose a problem to CBChomp [even with a Sandstorm up] as the average damage it'll get on Skarmory is only around 60 hp. Not to mention you will rarely see a Skarmory without Roost.. so that makes it even more of a pain.
It would end up walling the hell out of Garchomp and forcing a switch. XDD

You just have to get real lucky to activate it though.. it's all about prediction.
Like if the opponent sends in Jolteon, you could try and get lucky by throwing in Heracross hoping for a Thunder Wave to hit. XD

I actually use Perish Song Mismagius myself, it almost never fails to succeed in taking one opponent down with it. But honestly, who puts Shadow Ball on a Perish Song Mismagius? The moveset should look like this if you seriously want to succeed;

Mismagius @Leftovers
- Mean Look
- Perish Song
- Protect
- Pain Split

Latios may be faster, but it's in the Uber tier and people can be very stingy when it comes to Ubers.. so you won't see Latios very much in competitive battling.
Therefore, Uxie ftw. (b'u')b

Same with Garchomp, and you'd be stupid to use Garchomp outside of a sand storm team.. so even if Mesprit became a good counter to it, there is still the threat of Sand Veil. XD
