  • I figured the story was too complicated for scripting and it needed fakemon, which Idk how to make but have to make tons if I wanted to go ahead with the game.
Well, I have been planning out this small hack in my mind. It has 5 gyms and 1 Champion, and most of the people in there are Dragon trainers.
Then comes this dude who wants to destroy all the dragons and you know the rest of the story...
Hey, are you gonna hack ruby or fire red? The only good thing I found out about ruby is the transparent textbox, and somehow it is much easier to insert tiles in firered
Assuming you're using PGE, all the new moves will be underneath Psycho Boost, and will have the original names of the attacks it replaced (aka the first new move will say Pound, etc...) until you change them. Make sure you changed the INI.
Nope. It's just a sprite I made that replaces the S.S. Anne. They move like any other sprite does.
Chill, bruh! tajaros is Filipino (no racism intended) and I guess English is not his main language so he doesn't know how to use his words.
I forged a palette of 15 colours (+ 1 transparent one) then recoloured the whole tile with that palette.
Basically, you're just locating everything in game that points to that area of data. Since we moved it, it wouldn't make sense for it to point to that data anymore. We want it to point to our new data.

So by "Finding" the old pointer, we are going to change all of them to point to our new table location.

The reason we search 04 0c 25 08 is because that is a pointer to 0x250c04, aka where the old table was.

In your hex editor, scroll all the way to the top. Then press the find button, search for the old pointer (make sure it's set to "search down" on the side there). For every one you find, replace that pointer with your new pointer (wherever you moved the table.)

Keep doing it until there are no more pointers to the old table.
Errr... A quick question on the transparent textbox thingy, if I have the scripting something like:

    Spoiler:
Hey you! How you been? Sorry for the late response. I'm actually using my real age now. :O No more action figures and kiddie toys for me. :P

Wait, kids get smartphones nowadays... Dang it!
