Ah, Emerald... I love it, too, haha. Thinking hard about it, I really can't think of any problems I had with it. I may actually hack that... But still working on my FireRed hack. I've got two towns and 2.5 Routes mapped. I'm going to do all maps first, then sprites, and then i'll tackle scripting. Seems the fastest way to do things.

You probably know already, but just in case, the Toolbox section in Emulation is brilliant, and I don't think there are many, if any, dead links. That's where I got everything, anyways, haha.

Yeah, the BlackThorn idea did seem pretty cool. But there's an awful lot to think about- who wouldn't have been Gym Leaders at the time, the Champion, where he got his first Pokemon, how he went to Kanto from BlackThorn (that last one seems pretty simple, but there's a few stuff that could contradict the story, which is what I wanted to avoid). So i just started a new story, lol. I might do BlackThorn later on, though.
Anyways, so which ROM do you think you'll hack first? FireRed is the most common- I wanted to use LeafGreen, but Overworld Editor didn't work for it, so I had to switch. Also, Emerald has the most features to work with, but people say there are many problems (tbh i've never ran into any, so I dunno, lol).

Any-who... Yes, as a matter of fact, I'm working on a project, called Pokemon Forest Fury (*ahem* working title, I promise). Brand new region, with some 4th gen Pokemon, and also I'm considering a few Fakemon, too. Brand new characters, story, an interesting set of starters, IMO, and.. Well, i just started a few days ago, so i'm still thinking. I was doing a hack called BlackThorn, where you played as Lance or Clair, set about 20 years before RBY. But I scrapped it. Don't really know why. You can use the idea, if you want, haha:) (*genuine*).
Anyways, I know well you're gonna pick up hacking reeeeeally fast, lol.
By the way.. I sent a VM with some links about hacking and stuff the other day, but it's gone. I don't mind if you deleted it or anything, but Did you even get to see it, no?

Well, to be honest, once you're reading a tutorial and following it step by step, scripting is pretty easy, but..
It just wont work for me. I can write loads of scripts, but when I try to put them into the game it just.. Disappears. :( not a happy camper...lol.

Just to tell you, there can't be a theory of ghosts. I think you know that evidence can only be shown for the natural, and that theories only explain how natural stuff works.

Well, there's three main aspects to hacking- mapping, spriting and scripting. It's obvious what spriting is, but there's some really good tutorials in the Art forum. Mapping.. It's pretty straightforward, too, once you see the mapping tool. It's like Paint, but with Tiles. A few tutorials, in the Emulation Forum. And finally..
Scripting. To me, this is the hardest. Scripts are when you step on a certain spot and your Rival challenges you, when someone gives you a Pokemon, when you fight a Legendary, or any trainer, etc. It's.. Kinda hard. I only have one problem with it, and thats the offsets. You probably don't know what they are, though, so I'll leave it there, lol.
No, it's not necessarily cold here, it's just wet very often, and if it's not raining then it's just.. Mild. How plain. Haha:D.

I played Platinum for the first time in a while yesterday. ALMOST got a Gold Frontier Print, but lost to her damned Medicham on the last battle. Stupid Medicham, being competent :(. Lol.

Haha, good comparison- swine flu and Pokerus :D. This'll make my EV training much easier...lol. Yeah, I did get it, for a couple of days. There was about 30 more people with it in the Gaeltacht, but they all recovered too, so it was pretty cool. But now i think my little brother may have caught it, he was at the Gaeltacht too, so it's pretty logical. I'm sure he'll be fine, he's going to the doctor today.
Anyways, that Blissey is wicked. I'm actually going to start EV training stuff today, i think. I'm going to get a Flygon, because it's just better than Garchomp. Because I say so :D.

In Ireland, surprisingly not many people can speak the Irish language. There's these sort of summer camp things called Gaeltachts (pronounced Gwale-tohcts) where young people go to learn and speak irish. The one i went to is very strict, your only allowed to speak irish, no english at all. It was my third time there, though, so i'm on my way to fluency, lol. And i've made my best friends there. But this year, it was actually pretty terrible, so i'm happy to be back. I survived the SWINE FLU! Yeah!

I'm going on a kinda holiday for three weeks. The place i'm going is reeeeeealllly isolated, and there's no internet (and no, it's not rehab or prison or anythin like that lol). Anyways, i'll talk to you in 3 weeks! Sorry for the late reply again!

Wel, I find it better than Diamond, anyways. Some parts are pretty similar, but you can only expect that- it is only a sister game, not a brand new series. But the Frontier is wicked, the graphics have some awesome changes, and the pre-National dex is MUCH better than the original DP one. It now has all the Eeveelutions, and some other cool things. Put simply, there's 60 extra Pokemon in the Sinnoh dex, but it's almost easier to complete it, ironically.
No, i don't have wifi yet. I plan on getting it (eventually). Although I've a friend who has it, and surprisingly he likes Pokemon (he never let on about it before). But he got Diamond especially for the wifi, lol. What about you, do you have Wifi access? (Did you want to trade/battle, yeah?)
