  • Wooly-Willy XD It's not that far gone yet. My friend had that happened. It was a circular blob she called the Black Hole. You could move it by touching the screen. I kind of wouldn't mind that if it didn't mean my computer was on its last legs.
I joined up here because I was getting kind of lonely, and I thought I'd sort of let it go when I got back to the colonies, but I'm still the blob I was then and I'm sort of attached now. Talking with you is also the highlight of my PC day. Ack. You didn't see this. Plus, I've gotten roped into doing stuff for people recently. Guess I wasn't keeping my head down low enough.
This is my only forum of any kind. I didn't think I would use it to socialize much. I don't think I do, not really. It is pretty friendly around here, but I don't have anything to compare it to so it might just be how forums are.
My computer is only a few years old, but I treat it badly. I've dropped it a couple of times. The screen flickers every now and then. The power plug sometimes doesn't charge it. Some of the keys don't always respond unless you press them a little hard. I sometimes think it runs on luck and hope.
It seems like some people change their names every chance they get. I suppose if I'd been around long enough and already had a reputation for changing my name it wouldn't be a problem. I still feel like the new kid around here sometimes so I get spurts of that keep-your-head-down feeling.
I'm so used to trackpads now I don't think I could use a mouse again, but yeah, they are a pain sometimes for trying to do fine things. Mine also doesn't respond half the time when I try to scroll. My computer is kind of old and I really hope it doesn't die on me. I can't afford a new one.
Not a reference to anything, at least that I'm aware of. It's one of those typos that turn into something amusing so I wrote it down, at the time thinking it was the best thing I'd ever seen. I think Galatea is best, too, but the thought of changing it, well, it kind of reminds me of playing pokemon. You're going along and suddenly your Oddish turns into a Gloom and you think: "aww, I kind of miss my Oddish." If Scarf evolves there will be no turning back. @_@ I'm thinking too hard about this.

I've never heard of Mola Mola before *googles* Oh, that's what those things are called. I like Space Cub, though, and your idea for it. I don't think it would be quite so hard. You could take an image like this and maybe play with it. Or you could ask someone on PC with art skills. Sorry to hear about your computer brain. May it rest in pieces.
Life choices, ha. I thought you'd never ask. :3
I've considered going with Galatea because something classical and mythology-related appeals to me. Colophonius Regenschein is my geeky book character reference username consideration. The one that amuses me the most (but I would most likely never choose) is All Rise For The Honorable Funk. Somehow I feel like that last one doesn't really suit me.
    OK. Your turn.
I get by. It's not really a problem in the fall and winter (well, a little with the mold) and in summer I can go to the beach if I start coming down with cabin fever. You have a great username. Okay, it's a little icky when you first read it, but it's a little fun and silly and that feels inviting, I think. I dunno. I was thinking of changing my username. I have a list of candidates, but I can't decide on one so I haven't done it yet. Probably won't. Maybe.
I have some antihistamine medication, but it needs to build up so I have to take it every day or the effects wear off (I don't like taking pills because of a bad reaction I had once, but that's another story). Even then, if there's too much pollen/grass/dust/mold/cat hair (dogs are my silver lining) I'll still get affected and all I can do is wash my face and stay covered up. I don't go by Scarf for nothing. >.> Actually, no, that's a lie. I just thought it would sound good. I go by Scarf because I like scarves. ^o^
If I'm walking down the street and someone is moving their lawn I have to cross to the other side. If I get too close my throat will itch like mad and my eyes will get red and irritated for hours. I don't even go outdoors on windy days in the spring and summer if I can help it. Nature is so cruel to me. I used to lie in fields and do all those free-spirit flower-child things, but one day my body said "hello, I'd like you to meet your new allergies" and like bad in-laws they never left.
I hate the suburbs. You get bored kids with nothing to do, police with nothing to do harassing the kids, neighbors who don't talk to ear other, cars everywhere, alcohol as the most popular form of entertainment, and no easy escape. It's like a city without the culture and other good parts.
*googling bluebonnets* Oooo colors. I wouldn't want to get anywhere near them, but they're quite pretty. I like having trees around to climb. Really tall ones with lots of branches, though it gets a little frightening if you get too high (I've got a little bit of vertigo to keep my claustrophobia company).
totally copying your movie-link-in-sig thing, if that's okay. Maybe it will become a trend!

incidentally, I really loved the film you linked to. Gorgeous animation, with a glum but sharp feel to it... yesssss.
Oh, it's not a burden, I just meant that... Well, I was too lazy to do it, and if you had known it would have been pointless saying, you know? Sorry 3= But nevertheless- story time! :D lol. It's basically about Japan around the time of the Millenium. The youth of Japan basically became totally unruly, didn't go to school, or pay respect to adults in general. So the Japanese government came up with a solution- called the Program. A lottery was carried out each year, selecting a class of students from any Japanese school. These students are drugged, and brought to a secluded location, where they are each given a random weapon, and released to the outdoors, one by one. When they're all set, the game begins. They have to kill each other off, and last-kid-standing wins. It's a pretty original story, I thought. Thats basically the background information, the story itself actually follows the students as they kill each other, and focuses on a boy called Shuuya Nanahara, and his friend Noriko. Here is the wiki page, as apology for my lazytivity, :D.
Oh, I forgot, there's Link Modules, Accounting and Business Studies, too. Business Studies is.. I'm not really sure, I never did it. Accounting, is obvious (I'll assume, as I never did that, either:D). Link Modules depends on your other Electives, it's basically using Microsoft Office and such. I don't qualify because of my subject choices, but I don't care, it's a free class once in a while:)
Yeah, pretty vague title alright. You never know, could be fun. Well... Interesting. :P
No school monday? *seethes*. I wish it was still snowing... Speaking of snow, does weather be very Christmassy in Texas? Or is it generally warm at Winter?
Ah, fairly similar, lol. Well... I dunno. A little girl sliced in half is hard to beat. Um... Battle Royale is pretty gory/sexual in parts. Do you know the story? If not, I'll explain (but let me know, I wont write it if you already know, obviously. haha:))
I've heard Akira is brilliant. I actually wanna look at the Pokemon Manga sometime, that's always intrigued me.
It's pretty difficult, but we spent all of last year covering the commands and such, so it's not too hard. I had been doing an Xbox360 controller, but it was freakin' impossible. The SNES was nice and plain, so I switched, to make up for wasted time on the 360.
It's for Design and Communications Technology class, which put simply is a bit like Architecture, but there's a whole technological side to it, too (as the name suggests). Electives? (i think I know what you mean, so I'll take a shot in the dark). For my Leaving Cert, I take 7 subjects. 3 of these are compulsory, English, Irish and Maths. The remaining 4 are choice subjects (that I think are Electives?) These vary, eg Geography, History, French, German, Music, Construction, Design + C T, Art, Metalwork, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I'm taking Music, Physics, Design + Communications Technology, and German. If that's what you meant, then good, if not, you now have extensive knowledge on the subjects in my school, and can ask your question in a way my Irish brain can comprehend, lol (*shake a beer bottle in my face*):D Jk.
Art appreciation? Sounds cool. When you find out, lemme know what it entails, as I'm unclear, myself:).
What about in America, how many subjects do you do in your senior year? And how many of those would be (my understanding of) Electives? (if I'm wrong, I swear... x3)
Oh. Cool. I've only ever read a bit of Death Note and Battle Royale. They've got plenty of brutal images, though:D
allow me to rephrase- we took some of them seriously, I suppose. But, like you said, there were a few random results in there, too (I CAN'T FIND MINE. Lol). Although... I don't really remember, ours didn't actually pick out suitable careers, there were tonnes of careers per section, and it was concluded that if you scored high, the careers in that area would generally suit you, and vice versa. They were pretty pointless if.. Yeah, what you said:)
Yeah, that's exactly right about the busy-busy-cramming that goes on. I've two projects that need to be finished by February and it's taking years. I'm close to finishing one, though, hopefully by next week I'll have it done. I had to construct a SNES controller on a computer program called SolidWorks. It basically makes little objects that can be rendered to 3D and viewed from any angle and such. But you have to make each part separately, which is tedious, as if you muck up a bit where two parts should join, you've to go back and re-do alot of stuff. It's pretty cool though, once you get it right.
We also have practicals/oral exams/mock exams (as the name suggests, warm-up tests) soon, and people going a bit crazy with everything. BUSY. When this is all done, I'll sleep til christmas.
So, anything mental in the world of Sav? How's college life treating you?
I hope you find your garden, Jenny Appleseed.
They do talk show television down there, eh? I thought that all happened in New York. Shows what I know. LA wasn't so expensive if I remember right. I had a friend from down there and she knew where to go to get good food on the cheap side. SF is where it's expensive ;0; Having the history and such is nice, but I'm more partial to nature. Redwood forests, tide pools, that kind of stuff. Not that I live in the middle of nature or go to see if that often. I just like knowing it's there.
Hurray for brown grass and allergies in the summertime :|
Well, I ♥ San Francisco as you might know. All the museums and architecture and weird local history (look up Emperor Norton). LA and surrounding areas have great food since you can find, well, anything you want. There's an awesome aquarium in Monterrey. In my mind things are fun and interesting along the coast and get steadily less interesting as you move inland. The central valley is kind of our local piece of the Midwest: flat, boring, and full of Republicans.
Ahhh, I feel like you're like a pumpkin or an eggplant or something. I wanna scoop you out of your dry bad soil and plant you somewhere you can grow up big and healthy and then get eaten XD
