  • I'm fine, but today has been a pretty dull last day of summer. On the bright side, I got a new DS game, Mario And Luigi: Partners in Time.
    Thanks!

And, for the avatar, I'll think about it, but I mioght keep the crown for now.

    How are you?
Well, we just hosted a small party at our house, I won cards! :D

    Only 7 dollars, but, whatever.

    Mega Shark? Octopi? xD

Anywho, are you excited for school?
I try to avoid reading very modern books as much as possible because they're usually not that great imo. I prefer the literature and music from the 1940's-70's a lot more.
    That's awesomely eccentric.

I'm pretty much the opposite, a decent book will hook me and I won't be able to put it down. I've read a few books straight from start to finish, they weren't short either. I usually find it hard to pay attention to films though.
Lol, Twilight. That's another thing I had never heard of until I saw people bashing it on the net. It's certainly not something I would ever consider reading.
Aha, every day? That's a lot of movie characters. Sounds fun.
I may give the movie a watch after finishing the book; I usually prefer to just visualise it myself in my mind as I read though, rather than being given someone elses interpretation of it in a film.
I've actually never heard of the Beat Generation (naive); I've recently started getting into reading again though so I'll definetly give Naked Lunch a read at some point. I'm currently reading A Clockwork Orange though.
While I'd probably enjoy listening to the Stardust albums more, I prefer the Thin White Duke as a character; the backstory of how Bowie was battling with a drug problem at the time also interests me.
Oh, I don't dare go near that channel anymore. Except Adult swim occasionally. I don't even want to know what all that CN Real shiz is about, it sounds like a rip-off of discoverykids. But yeah, Boomerang seems to be showing most of the good stuff now. I still miss Toonami though. It's what really got me into anime. :(
Ziggy Stardust was ground breaking, I personally prefer The Thin White Duke though.
I'm also a fan of the Outside album, it sounds nothing like anything else he is done and has a much more Industrial sound, but I like it in it's own way.
I was brought up listening to cheesy 80's music, so I do sometimes end up listening to some of that stuff. xD
His solo career cannot compare to Genesis though.
I only very recently started listening to Bowie and I was instantly captivated.
I actually had no idea who Miley Cyrus was until I looked it up on the net after people mentioned her on these forums all the time.

Peter Gabriel is at the top of my favourite vocalist list next to David Bowie. Phil Collins stays on drums please.

Iggy And The Stooges blow my mind everytime I listen to Raw Power. I'm sure I can find somewhere to watch/download it online.
I've managed to convince a few of my irl friends to listen to Genesis, although in general they do have poor taste.
I havn't seen that one and I don't watch very many films at all, but after reading the wiki page on it I think that I'll give it a try.
Glad you approve. Although our music compatability is low, I can appreciate Tom Waits as a good artist.
