They're not there to comfort you and praise you all the time, y'know.
I go to an art community every day, and even the pictures you think are perfect have critiques left on them.
Alot of people think I may be the best artist, but that's definitely the worst lie ever.

You have to suck it up. I know you may be really young and all but you really need to. If you learn to suck it up now you'll be a great artist lately.

The thing that made it so bad was the fact that they said it was horrible and didn't bother to tell me how.. if they're so smart they should be able to give some critique.

Ok, good.
And yess - it's hard to acept critique. Whenever I see someone or hear about someone who can draw really well, I get jealous! (XD) I guess I just like attention. Just try and act like it's not mean - just pay attention to their advice.
(except one time someone said "they're horrible" and I was so angry. >_> That was really ridiculous..)

It's not complaining, it's critique. To tell the truth, they are too small! XDD
That's a major problem in your sprites - the size. That's what it is! -headdesk-
I do my sprites in a 64 by 64 canvas. You should always make them around a good size like that for pokémon sprites.
