As for the RNG question, it's tricky. You can find a seed in either the Capture tab or the Shiny Egg tab. If you're going to use the shiny egg tab, set the breeding type to BW (International) even if you don't have international parents. Be aware, that there's a good chance that your egg will not come out shiny if you follow this route.

The other option is using the Capture tab. Set the month & date to whatever you want. You'll want to set the Min/Max frame to 8. That's because 8 is the starting frame for eggs. The method will be Method 5 (Standard Seed) & the encounter type is Gift Pokemon. All that's let is to input the IVs you'd like & hit generate. Using this method will take time, because there's a good chance you won't find anything. All you have to do is keep changing the months or years till you find something. Collecting the egg with this process is the same as using the Shiny Egg so you don't have to worry about changing that process.
