  • Well, in your original post, you must have forgotten to include it, because you quoted Spherical Ice's post but never gave his map a review. And in your second post, you just quoted chrunch, and removed a large portion of the text. I mean this is what your second post looks like-

I'm not even sure what could have happened with the second post, because I don't understand your reason for editing it ("I forgot pokemon"?)
Anyway, to post in the Map Rating thread, you must give a review of someone else's map, and a rating out of 10. You can submit your map in the same post, but the only way the post is allowed is if you rate someone else's map. :)
Before your post got deleted, I had rated your map.

Blue indicates where you've made cave entrance errors. Cave entrances need to be below another level of mountain, if the player walks in it would be like their head is touching the roof. There needs to be another level directly above the entrances.

Red indicates block borders - the trees on bottom. It indicates the major tile error I've noticed, which is a mountain that disappears, there's no back to it and one side does not meet the other, it looks very off and is a noticeable error.

Green indicates where the player is going to start bumping into things due to not having enough space. or that the area is not passable. You need to think about playability, the map lacks it entirely.

I would recommend sticking to Nintendo style mapping, if you try something else you will fail, simple as. The map lacks structure, playability and sense for the most part. So again, I would advise looking at how Nintendo structure their maps or even some maps from hacks with decent mapping. This one is very unnatural and not playable.

First off, the bottom half this isn't actually that bad, but the grass placement is really rather messy and not so well done it just seems all over the place and lacks any form of structure. The ledges seem far to frequent and very unnecessary. Also the trees are again, all over the place without much structure at all, such as the space cleared for a random flower in there, which doesn't look well. Next thing would be your mountains, they're far too flat and random, they just pop out of nowhere complete with random caves that serve little purpose. The map in general has a very random feel to it, with buildings thrown about and a pond in the middle, coming out of nowhere. The map lacks structure as I've said, you need to think of where the player is going and not have a million directions and very messy mapping. At any rate, here's some errors and such

    Spoiler:
map- interesting in someparts, but needs work. lots.
anyways since your post dosent have a review, it will be deleted, sorry.
so add a review i guess
hey you want to map for my hack? if you do just reply on my thread with a screenshot of one of your maps ;)
