Guess I will have to give it a try then. I was just a bit worried as RL games on consoles (looking at you chocobo's dungeon) are often times very simplistic compared to PC ones. Is there one entry in the series that you would recommend over the others?

I recently started playing through crystal and the second pokemon I caught was a shiny pidgey. Not really the coolest color change ever, but shiny none the less.

I like pokemon and roguelike games so I have been thinking about trying out the mystery dungeon games, but I am worried they will be a bit too dumbed down/easy. Do you think these games are worth playing for someone that has beaten games like Nethack and Shiren?

I picked it up and beat it already. Thought it was a bit too short and way way too easy, but still worth the money just for the humor and the great sprite work. If you are looking for you sword still:

I found the Gen II leaders to be pretty easy in general. The only one I thought was harder than their Gen I counterpart was Whitney and that annoying Miltank.

Zubat. Though that may just be because I get so tired of fighting a billion zubats in every cave. I have been thinking about trying a Team Rocket play through of Blue though. (Rattata, Koffing, Ekans, Zubat, etc.)

So I have been playing through Crystal and got to the part where I can catch Suicune, but I am not having any luck at all. Several times I have gotten it down to a pixel or two of hp and paralyzed or put it to sleep, but, no matter how many balls I throw, I can't catch it. Is there anything else...

I'm usually too attached to my team to give one up for a legendary, but I did have a fondness for Articuno in Gen 1.

What exactly are the differences in green? Just different sprites or are there gameplay changes?
