I completely agree with you. I was so excited when I first saw the scan of her. I originally expected Kris, but when I saw this new character, I was happy that it was someone new. I was so excited that day. I liked the hat, especially because there was no Pokeball on it. Out of all the character's clothing, her clothes look most normal. (It's also an easy costume to make and remember when drawing.) The outfit isn't ugly at all. (I drew pictures of the other female trainers (except Kris) wearing the new girl's outfit, and it looked nice on all them.)
