Charlie doesn't know much about other types and this type of hallucination did work on a charmeleon, so he figures it could work on Flare as well. You know that guy you meet on the sidewalk who thinks that certain people all behave the same way? Yeah, that guy is Charlie. In case you didn't know yet, he thinks all pokemon of every other type think the same. He is very... uniformed should I say. Don't worry about raising every possibility about what Flare could do. I just write Charlie having only the simplest plans because he thinks that's all he ever needs, and now it's finally bitten him on the butt.

Well, Charlie does think Flare is stupid since he isn't a psychic type and so he wouldn't think of not working the hallucination around the flames. He'll learn his mistake soon enough though

Charlie could probably take one or two more attacks before it'll be too much for him.

We'll just see how the battle goes, although it does look like Flare will win but Charlie still has a few tricks of his own.

He'll be deeply troubled that he lost to a non-psychic and would start doubting himself and his theology, but he'll try to keep that locked inside himself and make sure that no one knows that he has those thoughts. It may take a second battle between him and a non-psychic to have him truly abandon the concept.

What I was planning on doing is that once Echo and Mello become friends Echo finally stands up to Charlie and due to his doubts he encountered with Flare he ends up losing and will seriously think over his attitude.

Charlie is the type to push aside everything else for one goal so pretty much if he does lose, he'll training every single second he can. He'll pretty much become obsessed with beating Flare and will even go hungry if it means he can get in more training. He'll isolate himself and only focus on how to take Flare down.

Would you be okay if Charlie could sense Flare's location with his psychic powers? He pretty much would reach out and try to find Flare and then use his powers against him.

How do you want the battle to go? Charlie is pretty much going to gauge Flare's strength after that attack and since he is powerful he was going to use his 'plastic bag' technique. He entraps his foes face with his psychic power, forcibly closes the eyes, ears, and mouth and pretty much suffocates them. He's thinking no air = no fire. It's how he helped Jack catch Echo and Delta. I'm already guessing that Flare would somehow find a way to get out of that.

Well, he's never tried singing to her. Reminds her of her mother and of course none of the others would know since she doesn't trust them enough to tell them that. The plan I have for Flare and Alpha is that they somehow get Mello to sing again to Echo for a longer period. Alpha has noticed that Echo seems to respond to Mello's singing and he's rationalized that could be the way for Echo to open up.

That's my plan anyway for how to get Mello and Echo to start interacting more deeply.

Yo, just edited my post. I at least give Flare something to do, but I really couldn't find anything for Mello since Alpha will respect her need to stay alone, Charlie now dislikes her, and Echo is... being Echo.

Unfortunately not now. I have a huge test tomorrow in management, which I suck in, so I am on a study binge tonight and tomorrow. After I get done with it tomorrow then I'll post.

And those songs will be the key to opening up Echo. Just to let you know Echo's mother used to sing her songs to help her go to sleep, so pretty much any singing will have her in a calmer mood, that will be the way Mello can open her up.
