  • Those are some good points about Machamp, but Conkeldurr has more power behind its moves. But Machamp is still viable in OU because of No Guard DynamicPunch forcing switches.

Not only are Aggron and Probopass weak to Ground and Fighting, but it's also weak to Water. All 3 types are very common types in OU. This is why Aggron and Probopass aren't seen in OU at all. They're also very slow, meaning they can be taken out easily before they can make a move. And like I said, Magnezone does Probopass' Steel-trapping duties better because it has a better defensive typing.

As cool as Gallade is, it's outclassed in OU by Lucario because base 80 Speed may not be enough to outspeed a lot of things.

While Eelektross does have a wide move pool, it's very slow compared to its fellow Electric types. Its bulk isn't bad, but it isn't good either. If I recall, its OU analysis was taken down because it was too slow to accomplish much. I suggest you read Eelektross', Rotom-W's and Jolteon's Smogon articles again.

I'd rather use Heatran over Slowking. It does a better job of checking Fire mons by using Flash Fire to absorb Fire moves. And Chlorophyll Venusaur should be on there if you can get it. Sun teams tend to be weak to Stealth Rock, so something like Donphan should help.
...What's the purpose of Machamp on the Sandstorm team if you don't mind my asking? And Aggron is rather poor in OU because of its terrible defensive typing. Landorus >>>>>> Aggron, because the former hits harder and faster, especially if it has Sand Force.

How do Chandelure and Gallade support each other?

Rotom-W or Jolteon are better options over Eelektross. The latter hits slightly harder than Eelektross and is a lot faster too. Rotom-W is also rather bulky.

What's Slowking doing on a Sun team? People rarely use Water 'mons in Sun teams because the sun weakens their Water STAB. Also, get rid of Probopass for the same reason as Aggron.

And when you're building teams, think about why you're including that Pokémon in the team. What purpose does it contribute for the team? Does it add on to weaknesses or cover them effectively?
    1. Aerodactyl is too prone to priority (Azumarill's Aqua Jet, Scizor's Bullet Punch and Mamoswine's Ice Shard in particular) and Rhyperior's defensive typing is still weak, even with Solid Rock compensating for its common weaknesses. It's also weak to bulky Waters and Fighters in general, so you're going to need checks for them. Virizion, Reuniclus, Alakazam, Ferrothorn, Rotom-W and Lati@s come to mind. The biggest mistake when building sand teams is that they're filled with Rock, Ground and Steel Pokémon, so that they're all immune to sand. That's a big no-no, as this gives them plenty of common weaknesses.

    2. Starmie should be good. While Umbreon is a good defender, it can't do much offensively outside of Foul Play (on high Attack 'mons) and Toxic; it's also weak to the common Fighting moves.

    3. Think about team synergy. Read each Rapid Spinner's articles and decide for yourself. Different teams need different Rapid Spinners.

    4. Kind of. And why the freakin' hell would you include Leafeon on a Hail team? It doesn't do much. Chandelure and Heatran provide more raw power than Arcanine and Houndoom; the latter also has an excellent defensive typing.

The OU environment is the standard battling environment. A Pokémon is OU if it does well in that environment, like Tyranitar. A UU Pokémon is one that can be used in OU, but doesn't really do well there. Read each (and by that, I mean most) Pokémon's Smogon articles to see why they do/don't belong in OU.
Lol Me too XD I acutually have the Psone i used to play it in right here with me, but i lost my copy, so I just bought it on the PSN when I bought Okami HD. Haven't played a lot of yet, but i do plan to get 100% on 100% (that would include mastering all classes on the units i use) and i'll do another run in which i'll explore the beast training as much as i can. I look forward to playing it again so so much ='DD

I can't belive someone actually knows it other than myself XD
Glad to know you exist =DD
These sort of things still belong to Competitive Team Help, IMO. If you're still not sure on what to do, read the first post of the Competitive Team Help thread, or ask Wolflare.
Hey, to let you know, if you have any quick questions about competitive battling, you should post them in the Competitive Team Questions thread rather than making their own threads for them. (it's stickied in the Competitive Team Help forum).
Yeeeeahhhh... not that I'm snooping or anything, (I was trying to add you as a friend and realized I have no idea how) but you should really reconsider posting on that thread. I tried once, but the requests are too high for me to afford.
Volt Tackle is signature to the Pikachu line. Spiky-Eared Pichu in Gen. IV's version of Ilex Forest knows the move by default but can't be bred since Pichu can't breed; the Spring 2010 Pichu Event required to access the Spiky-Eared Pichu also knows the move by default, but is male. There is also a Pokémon Battle Revolution Pikachu that can know the move when transferred. Otherwise, the ONLY way to obtain the move is to hand a female Pikachu/Raichu a Light Ball and breed it with something compatible (or a male with a Ditto); the Pikachu/Raichu in question does NOT have to know the move, the Light Ball literally breeds the move.

Of course, I would presume that having a male and female that both know the move will pass the move down to the child without the Orb. Feel free to experiment here and tell me if I'm wrong. :)

The anime shows Pikachu learning the move on its own; this CANNOT happen in-game.

Oh, and no, the Light Orb is NOT consumed.
    There we go!

The other reason I just used the Event Pikachu was because breeding Pikachu or Raichu with the Light Ball gets a Pichu with Volt Tackle (need a Ditto or a female Pikachu in this case as it's male, I think) (CORRECTION: it's female). :)
Try leaving the room and returning. Also, keep an eye in here in case problems continue.
You aren't moving about according to your "current activity"...you're added, I'm still waiting!

Now you're moving...I'm still in the room!
Nah, I'll just send it. This is an event that was only in Hawaii (the place of the Championships), so I'll send it over. Maybe you can get some nice trades if you eventually clone it yourself. Keep me in mind if you do. :)

Need your FC tho. Mine's in my sig.
The only thing I'll ask for, if you have it, is a Meloetta (it would be a Japanese, Taiwanese, or Korean one as they're the only places with a legit. one). If you don't have it, I already have the other 648 (just imported Suicine in fact) and just like helping people. This is an item request, and I have to ship a Pokémon with it. This Pokémon already holds the Light Ball. I shouldn't ask for too much if you don't have a lot to offer since I could literally fill a Box with these. :)
