Plot:
Welcome to the Sinnoh region. A region of vast size and varying climates which makes it suitable for hundreds of pokemon to live safely. To the West, lucious forests and beautiful meadows. South, the wetlands and the more 'wet' surroundings. East we have the rocky, mountain terrain connecting to the Region's centre feature - Mt. Coronet. And to the North, the cold, snow covered valleys.
It has been approximately fifteen years since Lucas, Dawn and Barry each had their pokemon journeys and entered the pokemon league. Coming first, second and third respectively, each of them decided to head on to pastures new - exploring new places and catching new pokemon. Shortly after they left, however, tragedy struck.
Professor Rowan, the famous professor for all of Sinnoh, sadly passed away due to natural causes. This came as a huge blow to the region no doubt, and the Pokemon League even went as far as to cancel their next tournament in memory of him, to the dismay of others.
This caused the whole Sinnoh League to lose too much momentum. And slowly, challenger numbers decreased. Soon enough, gyms were facing budget cuts, their leaders leaving due to inactivity, and everything that was once great about the pokemon league in Sinnoh slowly shrank out of sight. The Pokemon League finally passed the difficult decision to cancel the Sinnoh League, instead letting trainers go to one of the other regions instead. Sinnoh spent as long as ten years without a league once more - practically lifeless. The only people who stayed in the region were those who lived there, or had businesses to run.
That was, until someone decided to step in.
Professor Alder, an old apprentice of the late Professor Rowan, had spent all this time working hard in the Sandgem Town lab. Not only about pokemon, but about Sinnoh's future. A number of calls were made, campaigns were started, funds were raised all across Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Orre, everywhere. Alder saved up these funds (aswell as a pretty penny from his own laboratory) and held meetings with Pokemon League officials. It took a long time - roughly two years infact - before an agreement was reached. The money was pumped into the Sinnoh League, and things were restoring. New Gym Leaders were called in (a few returned to their older positions), and new training facilities for pokemon were created. Pokecentres too were refurbished, and after a few months, things were ready to kick off again. Only one thing remained.
Challengers.
Where you come in:
You are one of these said challengers. While most others have caught and raised their own pokemon alone, you seek guidance. After all, you're still young, there has been no League most of your life (if not all of it). You do it the old fashioned way - you go to Professor Alder in Sandgem Town. From then on, you will have your own pokemon journey.
