  • It was very sad. YuYu was a total classic, and I loved it. Rurouni Kenshin is a childhood favorite, and I'm glad it's on Netflix. <3333
i clearly told the wrong person what you were getting into :^)
Made in Abyss is tastefully dark though. So great!
It has the best worldbuilding of any anime I've seen thus far. Oh my lord it's so good
that makes me sad! I love the current art style
you should uh, watch Made in Abyss : )
Thanks, Janna! And I'm used to the timezone deal with bday wishes, haha. Happens every year.
I usually use sketchy streaming sites if it's not on Crunchyroll or Netflix. Though if the quality is bad enough on the two main less-than-legal sites I may or may not use, then I'll usually resort to either giving up, or torrenting if I care enough.
Ugh I really do need to stop being lazy and start something new.
I can never understand how one can be so lazy that they don't want to put something on Crunchyroll and then do nothing but 25 minutes
    yet
i still manage to be too lazy to even do that
UGH you have so many things on your list compared to me. i need to catch up.
i just have a lot of shows i "plan" on watching that i haven't gotten around to
I only watched 2 3 of the seasons of Pokemon in full. I almost forgot Orange Islands
I should at least add those but I barely remember anything that isnt the first half of the first season
you removing your Steins;Gate rating from your list increased our affinity by 35%
    holy crap
also I grew up on that show as well, but only watched like one arc so I didn't even include it.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I included Pokemon in this list either. Or a few others that I grew up watching o_o
Christina was Okabe (the protag) playing a joke and Americanizing her name. She's Japanese but lived in America for a big portion of her life, iirc.
I'm too afraid to look her up on the wiki because of potential Steins;Gate 0 spoilers.

also i should have guessed it was yugioh.
tho just because you grew up on it doesn't mean it was a good show, at least by your standards today.
MY GRANDFATHER'S DECK HAS NO PATHETIC CARDS, KAIBA.
    What is YGO?
and naw you don't need to do that haha. just because i love the show doesn't mean you will!
even if you liked ReZero pretty much as much as I did, and Steins;Gate is just a less flashy and more sciency version of that
    GET IT? SCIENCY?
    MAKISE KURISU'S MAGAZINE NAME?
    NO?
you'll get it when you watch it, then think back at this convo, and shake your head in disapproval.
There's a lot of obvious bias here, but all of the talking ends up being surprisingly important for one reason or another. There's really not much filler dialogue, unlike a lot of shows I've seen. It's just all disguised as filler dialogue at first! It's a dark and depressing show, but it's definitely smart in how it handles things, though it's certainly not for everyone ^^.
Also, I saw that you dropped Shinsekai Yori. I'm glad I'm not the only one who disliked it. Everyone seems to love it but I just...couldn't get into it. And looking over at your list again, our tastes are surprisingly similar o_o (with the obvious exception of S;G)
daww thnx <3 I understand. Life can be a real sucker punch, and a complete drain.

I think the first anime that really moved me was Neon Genesis Evangelion. As cliche as that may be, for anime. ;P

    Figures. XD
I noticed them after I made the post. My bad!
And Steins;Gate is so good! You actually might appreciate it more the second time you watch it. You'll notice a lot more new stuff. Though if you weren't huge on it the first watch, idk if you will be on the second viewing
OH you need to watch Season 2 and 3 of Haikyu. They're SO GOOD aaaah
JK YOU DID AND I MISSED IT AT FIRST
