It gives a lot of potential I find, when you can have mythological or alien creatures. :)

I suppose, especially for the myth. monsters though, it can be difficult at times to be original, seeing as Tolkien was the one who really made it popular. But then again, it is not difficult to make it right, I mean even he didn't totally invent them either. That's cool that you're ahead in it though.

Yeah for my space idea, it made me think of the movie Armageddon and some other movie and that didn't look good to me.

Well, here's hoping our stories come to fruition. ;)

Okay well when I say original, I wasn't trying to bootleg from any other medium, but rather getting the best kind of idea of my ideas (not in fullest fruition) are about.

Okay, the first story is more sci fi and in the future as well. Anyway, it is about a guy who is set to land on Jupiter (cheesy, I know, and this would also take a ton of research), he had just landed barely escaping death from a previous mission, and because of this, was deemed unable to go to Jupiter. He doesn't take it well, eventually having his wife leaving him, and his son doesn't think of him as the hero he though he was. Needless to say, he get's put on a crappier duty (in space) and suddenly finds himself admist a hostile alien. Long story short, he saves the day, and his family accepts him, they offer him back the position to go to Jupiter, to which he declines (though I wonder if the wife would say it was fine for him to go, but characters are hardly developed).

The other story, is more of a thriller. I haven't seen Orphan, but was disappointed, as this is sort of what my story was about (okay so was The Good Child... but yeah...). Anyway it's about a family who just moved in, that family has a son and daughter. The thing is, the house they just moved into had two previous cases of murder sucides in the past year or two. People believing the house is haunted. So the son of the house starts making friends, he meets the boy next door to him, who is also his age. The next door boy though, seems different... Essentially, he provokes people, thus we find out somehow or rather, that he is the instigator in the other murder suicides.
