Hi,
My in-game name is Gwe and my friend code is: 2750-1367-0141
My Friend Safari type is electric, but I'm not sure what pokemon appear in it.
I'm looking for someone with a Dark type friend safari with Sableye.
Thanks a lot!
I also vote for a beta 1 redux with the new base. :)
After playing through CrystalDust, I've come to expect quite a bit from ya. No pressure, of course -- just saying, you have some raw talent.
Oh, I see. So like one island is cold and snowy, another is tropical and rainy, another is desert-like and sunny, etc... and the Pokemon found on each reflect this. Speaking of which, if there's any room in the ROM and it's easy enough to do, you could also experiment with new tilesets (like...
@Maxim: I'm going out on a limb here, but I find the fan-made tiles in Light Platinum, Blue Sea Edition, and so on to be visually stunning -- an excellent expression of individuality and/or community effort.
Some people just have different "art" preferences. Some might like art to be so simple...
Agreed; too much work. But if you ever decide to re-visit the idea, consider the practical aspects of "limiting" your approach. Not every map has houses, and some maps (featuring houses not in cities, etc) won't need to stay lit at night either. In fact, you could limit the effect to select...
I see. I was thinking of the latest Ruby Destiny hack, then, which I just revisited for the sake of getting my "brightness bearings." Sure enough, it wasn't noticeably darker than yours -- but somehow, the windows of the houses were made to light up! That's the trick I suppose--not the overall...
These are the best tiles I've ever seen, hands down. They are incredible. I noticed a small glitch -- I fainted after the flying scene and got reset at the previous Pokemon Center, where I was then trapped in that town (a guy says it's "dangerous" to leave, and there's no way to fly back).
The tiles are overused? Generic? These tiles look utterly gorgeous. I've yet to see a showcased hack actually stick with them for the long haul, making these gems actually much rarer in mature hacks.
The FR tiles are the ones that are overused, since all the "major" hacks here use them! :P ;)...
Ohh yeah. My bad. Wow, what an embarrassment. What did you mean by "removing" the Ruins of Alph? :-o Just taking out the puzzle and quest stuff for now?
And when you say "fixed," do you mean the o15 download is updated [practically] on the spot?
Some ridiculous nitpicks:
- Aww, no animated staircase (for instance, in the hero's house)!
- Also, Youngster Joey battles you before the roadblock on Route 30 is cleared.
- DUDE's Hoppip has 40/35 Tackles. ;)
...Also noticed the [very] clever inclusion of your number in the Pokegear as a...
It wasn't until I actually played this myself that I realized how eerily well the graphics/palettes/etc evoked the genuine GSC "feel" while walking about. Honestly, bravo.
Woah, this is incredible. I've heard the Emerald base poses quite a few more problems than the supposedly "stabler" FR, but you've gotten so much done. How long have you been working on this again?
