well... i dunno. i need a daughter first to see how deep the bond really can get.. but right now? well if i was in joels shoes i think i would of done exactly the same actually, i couldn't bear seein someone who was so similar to my own daugther gone, even if it meant a chance of a vaccine was going to be gone. anyway, humanity lasted for 20 years and really the infected isn't the biggest problem anyway, its the peoples mindset more than anything that needs changing. aaargh i'm going far too deep into this lol

/tldr i would of done the same. in a post apocalyptic world, as bad as it sounds i put myself and anyone close to me forward of anything else. and the vaccine didn't really have a high chance of being successfully made anyway
