I told you that it's a problem with some ROMs.......... How are you enjoying the emulator as yet? If you're acquainted a little with it then I can get you started on that Dragon monotype challenge of yours...........

Then it is a problem....... You need to download a Fire Red GBA ROM from Google and see if it shows the same message because it can affect game play.........

What do you mean it doesn't work? Is it like it says the 1M circuit board is not installed and then it takes you back to the title screen?

It's 1M circuit board is not installed right?
It should not affect your game play much......... It's effects include:
1. Not being able to continue after completing the game.
2. No manual save feature.
3. Real Time clock problems.
Run a test for me Sara(I can call you that right?), Try going in the game up to the point when the game gives you control over the character and the option to SAVE. Go in the Main Menu by pressing the START button(Enter) and then highlight the SAVE option. If the game allows you to save then you are good to go. If it doesn't then I'll provide you with another solution.
Anyways, after you save, Press Ctrl and then R at the same time. It should reset the game. Then go up till the title screen. It should give you the option to continue. If it does you're still good to go.

By the way, you can also speed up game play by holding down the Space bar.

Follow this procedure:
1. Open VisualBoy Advance
2. Find that there are some options in the top left of the window namely File, Options, Cheats, Tools, Help. Open File.
3. Go in the Open... option.
4. Find the ROM there and Open it.
5. Have the experience of your life.

Alternate route:
1. Place both the files in the same folder.
2. Drag the ROM onto the Emulator and drop.
3. Have the time of your life ;)
