It's funny how the economy is struggling still, even though the media claims over and over that it's "recovered" and "doing well". Doing well for who, besides stock and commodity traders?

I'm starting to make more friends with guys and I can see what you're talking about now, although the girls I did make good friends with weren't dramatic/problem starters at all. Most girls really fit that stereotype, though, and it's really annoying.

I wish I was homeschooled! That must be so cool! Yeah, there are definitely under qualified teachers out there that really shouldn't be in the field. I've also noticed there are teachers who don't actually like teaching at all and I guess pretty much forced themselves into the field? I don't know. There's really a dire need for better teachers, and I know the job is extremely tough, tiring, and stressful, but that's no excuse for laziness or just hate for the job, for that matter.

When Simon left American Idol, I moved on to the X Factor (where he's still a judge), because he's seriously like the only talent judge who knows what he's talking about. Everyone else can't seem to compete, and it's turned into a "let's hire any celebrity we think will increase ratings" type stuff now.

I think everyone has test anxiety to a certain degree, but it's weird, I'll start sweating, my hands will get really cold, and yeah, I hate it. I just want school to end already. I feel like I've been in it forever now. :[

I really wanted to come out to my parents this year because I feel it's already time to. I'm 19 and I'm sick of this facade I've been putting on for everyone all of my life. Also, they're constantly pestering me about getting a girlfriend and stuff, and yeah, well, that's just awkward and uncomfortable for me. :[

What would we do without women? <3 Seriously, all of my best friends are girls and they're the most loving people in the world. Also, you're the perfect example to your own reasoning! :P

They're both fairly young. I think one is in fifth grade now and the other is probably just starting elementary school. It's been a while lol, and they grow up so fast! I forgot to tell you but my mom is an elementary school teacher. xD & it's funny that you mention the math involved with elementary education because I've heard the tests involved with getting the certification are a lot harder than, let's say, getting a certification to teach biology, for example, because the elementary exams cover material across many subjects.

I like both Mariah and Nicki, but I agree that Nicki should definitely not be judging a talent show like that. I've never really heard her sing anything but rap. She also has a really bad attitude problem. I suppose what kept me watching in the beginning, though, were the scuffles between Mariah and Nicki. It was all so stupid and funny lol. :P

I actually had a test today for math, and I was so nervous! I sweat when I'm nervous so it's really embarrassing too. :[ I wouldn't say I'm a bad test-taker, but I certainly have test anxiety, if that even exists. & I'm sure you did fine! Don't worry. :D

Haha, CSS confuses me to no end (I really am Mac Jr. now) but you're right, it certainly possible to make a thread look nice without CSS. My guide on trading looks great without any fancy CSS.

Oh, oops haha, did not think of that. And who said modding was all fun and games? Okay, maybe I was lured in by false advertising and promises of supreme power but it's worth it >.< Plus even if I wasn't mod I'd probably be doing this anyhow.

I think she will be, and I know she doesn't want to lose me nor my brother for something silly like this, so I'm sure she won't even hesitate. You made a good point about women being more accepting. I think women are just more compassionate while men usually feel threatened if another man might like them or something. I don't really understand the logic, but you made a good point that history might have played a role in all that. It's funny because back centuries ago, being gay was a societal norm and was largely accepted by many. Now, it's a controversial issue. Who would've known. Talking about grandmothers (haha), I think my family is pretty accepting of homosexuality, given we have a few gay family members. It's just going to be hard to tell them. I want to just go on Facebook and make a post saying "I'm gay" just to get it all over with lol. :P

They've probably grown a ton since the last time I saw them. I suppose culture plays a role in the adoption criteria in China, but that's still morally wrong lol. I know special needs children require more responsibility to take care of then, let's say, a normal child, but all children require the same amount of care and compassion. I just feel like China only wants competent people living in their country. >.< Oh well.. & that's so awesome that you want to be a special needs teacher! Girl, you got it in you! I also wanted to be a secondary science teacher, but that dream was flushed down the toilet once I realized how much math was involved lol. -.-

I stopped watching American Idol a long time ago, although I must say that I do enjoy watching the beginnings of each season because I find them funny. I don't really like how the judges are constantly being switched around, though. & I don't really think the judges this season are qualified at all, except for Randy, of course. :P

Sorry about that. <3 I found some free time now. I'm usually on the forums for most of the day just lurking around, but I don't usually post on stuff unless I have time. I've considered making myself appear offline all the time so people don't think I'm online and ignoring them lol. xD

I think she only said that because I was fairly young (in like 7th grade) and I guess she thought therapy would change things, even though I believe that you're born with a given sexuality. At the time, it all seemed scary and I obviously denied being gay to avoid any awkward situations, but now I really love who I am and she can't really do anything about it. :P I truly love my mom, and I think she's a lot more accepting now than I feel she was before. I know she'll love me no matter what, and she's mentioned those exact same words to me before, too, so I have high hopes that she'll be okay once I come out to her.

That's awesome that you have two cousins from China. That's funny you say that, actually, because I have two adopted cousins from Russia. xD We're so alike, haha. <3 They're the cutest, too, and they got really attached to me. :D Adoption is a beautiful thing. Every person on this Earth deserves a good home, set of parents, and a good life in general. I feel that we, living in this country, take for granted a lot of things that many others wish they could have. Also, I'm surprised they don't let you adopt "normal" children from China, but I suppose the ones with special needs are the ones that require more care and are probably the most rewarding to adoptive parents in the end. I mean, that's kind of insulting that China wants to "get rid" of their special needs children instead of their normal ones lol, but that's just me. I'd still adopt a special needs child just cause that's the right thing to do in my mind. I'm glad you're so open to it all. :]

I try to be fair when debating gay rights and stuff. There are some great arguments and stuff, but my argument stands on the premise that people need to accept others no matter their sexuality, religion, nationality, etc. I don't care what anyone says. In the end, we're all human beings, but of course, there will never be peace. Every president, no matter party affiliation, will always get criticized for any little thing. I find it funny how people think one person is to blame for everything that happens in this country, but to each their own.

Overplaying on the radio and stuff is usually the reason why people hate songs, like you said. There are certain songs I'll love in the beginning, but then they just become so overplayed that I have to switch stations whenever that specific song comes on. It also seems to happen on multiple stations, too, which is really annoying. Pitbull is definitely in a lot of songs these days and I'm not entirely sure why. He really fits in some, but in others, he really doesn't. I suppose he's a product of the industry like everyone else is lol. It's all about the money these days. I do have to say, though, I saw him in concert and it was really cool. xD

I've been studying my butt off all of the weekend and today for tests and finals. Sucks. Luckily it's over soon. :]
