I... can't say I've noticed a massive difference in the restroom signage over here! Apart from the fact that we call it 'toilet' (the room as well as the actual fixture). That's certainly news to me!

It's less anger, and more a case of surprise and bemusement. They asked me numerous questions: Does the UK still have a king? (From a girl who got up at 4am to watch the William/Kate wedding.) Do cupcakes exist in the UK? What do you call dinner. They also expressed amazement that grits weren't in the UK. I didn't have the heart to tell them that we don't have collared greens either!

But, yeah, they were reeeeeeeeeeally southern. And one of them got me to record their answering machine message on their phone. I think I was the first person they'd ever met outside of the US.

But anyway... that's about it. Oh, and welcome back. Hopefully you sorted stuff out in your break. :D

OMG I MET SOME 13-YEAR-OLD GIRLS FROM MISSISSIPPI ON A TOUR BUS YESTERDAY AND ALL I COULD THINK OF WAS THAT YOUR ACCENT WASN'T NEARLY AS STRONG AS THEIRS! LIKE, SERIOUSLY, THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT BRITAIN AND THE UK WERE FROM THE SAME PLACE. AAAAAAGH!
