To get to Stark Mountain you can either go north from the docks when you arrive at the area from Snowpoint, or to the east is the Rest area, where you will get your Villa, and then go north to get to Stark again, it's a pretty linear path with a lot of trainers, some you can avoid, bring your HM slaves with you though.
