And those are the type of consumers the veteran fans don't appreciate, because they supposedly prevent the series from taking a darker and edgier approach to older gamers in terms of storytelling and difficulty curve, even though Nintendo games are never prone to having stories as deep as that of a Final Fantasy or Metal Gear title or appeal to those hardcore gamers who play those ridiculously challenging flash games such as "I Wanna Be the Guy."

I'm worried about Pokemon's future because of its broken fanbase started by Generation III, and it has now grew worse now that Generation V has dethroned Gen III as the most controversial generation in the series (I even made a thread about it a few months ago). It seems like older fans are begging for features that wouldn't work from a developer's point of view.
